I’ll add you when I get back to school. It should say “Cacophony” under the friend request, I think.

is it anything like CS lol ?

or like what do you do

give me a description on what you do in TF2

If by like CS, you mean far superior to CS in all ways. :)

It is basically a team based game with set classes that you play as. Each class as an important role to play within the team and is usually vital to the team’s success (at least ideally). The game modes are all objective based like CTF and point capturing. That’s the basics. Or to put it like wikipedia:

    Quote:

Like its predecessors, Team Fortress 2 is built around two opposing but equal teams competing for an objective. These two teams are meant to represent construction companies: Reliable Excavation & Demolition (RED) and Builders League United (BLU). Players can choose to play as one of nine classes in these teams,[15][18] each with their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Although the abilities of a number of classes has changed from earlier Team Fortress incarnations, the basic elements of each class have remained.

The objective of the game is defined by the game mode in use. In capture the flag maps, the objective for both teams is to obtain a briefcase of intelligence from the enemy team’s base and return it to their own base while preventing the opposing team from doing the same.[19] Control point modes are more varied in their objectives, but share the common aim of capturing a particular point on the map.[19] In some maps, the objective for both teams is to secure all the points on the map. On other maps, one team already holds all the points and must defend them from the other for a set amount of time. A third variation, introduced with the map Hydro, is based on territory: each team must capture the other team’s single control point to secure the section of the map. Once all sections have been captured by one team, they are then able to attack the other team’s base directly.

Happy New Year folks! Let’s try and make it a *edited* good one, shall we?

And on that note. My first request of the new year: Please, can this *edited* winter break be over now that the holidays have passed? I’m going crazy here!

    -5-10 second respawn times

It can be a *edited* on some maps since the opposing team can instantly re-up their defense after a push thanks to quick respawn. Still, it is more fun and the servers I’ve played on that are busy usually have it. I’d say 10 minimum though, but that’s just my opinion on it.

No, they arent, but people like keeping track of things and there is no harm in it if it can be easily set up.

    Yes!

And I’ll give a good hell no to being 24/7. At least right now. I have my fun on the 24/7 Dustbowls and 2Forts, but it gets old fast and I start craving a map change. I imagine there are plenty of people out there who feel the same way.

When I get back to school I’ll add all of you to my Steam Friends if you arent already on it and just message each of you when I’m going to hop in. Feel free to send me a message if you’re going to play as well.

I agree. I usually like to greet people when they enter a server anyway if I notice they are coming in. I played on a server once where a few minutes after I entered a message came up on screen and said “Welcome Cacophony!” Sure, it’s not much but I thought it was a nice touch and made me want to keep playing there (well, it was mostly because the people playing were awesome, but the kind welcome was nice nonetheless.)

ZING! tongue.gif i kid, i love em, i really do…

:D No, you’re right. And Supermassive Black Hole has never been my favorite Muse song. It is catchy though.

I used to think Gears was one of the 360’s greats, until I played the PC version. I LOVE the PC version. Extra content and Brumak fight for the win.

By itself it was $29.99 when I got it on release. It may be cheaper now that it has been a little while. That’s over Steam of course, which you should be able to easily check.

Only one of those games is a 360 exclusive (Others have PC and PS3 releases. Or both!), and that’s only until it’s released on PC. :D

Those graphic stickers are pretty nifty though. Really makes the 360 look fancy.

Overall, I’ve found much more enjoyment in all of the Arnold movies I watched as a kid. That probably falls down to me just watching mostly Arnold movies and the only Stallone movies I clearly remember watching were the Rocky movies.

That said, I paused for a long time on the Terminator vs Rocky question (I am watching the Fresh Prince though and that played a part in distracting me). I realized though that the only Terminator I truly like is the second one (Sure, the first one is good, but eh). Then I realized that as cheesy as most Rocky movies are I’ve pretty much liked just about every one I’ve seen. Then I thought about how many times I’ve probably seen Terminator 2 versus the Rocky movies and realized that I’ve seen Terminator way too many times and Rocky movies only once or twice.

But, then I realized that overall I guess I’d rather watch a Rocky movie.

I’ve only ever played at the LANs. I did okay the first time I played, terrible the second time I played. So, I guess I mostly suck. I’m okay with it though since I hate 1.6. It feels like a chore playing it.

YOU CAN BUY MILK IN A BAG?!?!?!? WHERE THE HELL IS THIS?!?!?!?

Canada. I always thought it seemed interesting and wanted to drink some milk in a bag. Though I imagine it is exactly like normal milk, only in a bag. I’ve also heard from people with bagged milk experience that occasionally they try to open the milk bag and spill it everywhere. Laughter ensues (at least for me. I imagine they werent happy with the milk spilling).

Yes. As a small boy I was orphaned and then found by a group of monks that happened to be traveling through. They took me back to their monastery and taught me how read and write. I am told it is a great privilege to have this ability.

Yeah, I keep hearing from a lot of people that there is almost no connection to the book whatsoever. Unfortunately, I’ve yet to read the story since the library never seems to have a *edited* copy of it in when I’m looking for it. :(

Spoiler-riffic! I’m not going to tag it because no one else has anyway. But, there’s a warning for you.

The way I saw it, they were just devolved into a more primitive state that made them stupid, but still able to adapt. Like crazy monkeys or something. They had enough of a social structure to recognize relationships (The leader and the girl) and to form communities around a leader (Though it was obviously based around him being the biggest and baddest, and that’s why they followed him. Plus, I assume they only reason they knew to set the trap was that they had been watching him for a very long time and had enough of their kind set by the traps to understand that the mannequin would mean something to him and to learn how to set the trap for themselves.

Also, I don’t think they were meant to be vampires, just have vampiric qualities. Hence the reason why they are never called so.

I enjoyed the movie, by the way. :D Though the very, very end with the woman’s monologue didnt do much for me overall.
