toranky was on yesterday night periodically from 6pm til like midnight. i played on the server around midnight and i saw 4 other admins on too.

LOL, I’ve seen it thrown around on the forums a bunch of times. I don’t know who originally said it, but I didn’t come up with it. But cuz 1.6 > sauce, I thought it was very fitting and haz stoled it.
Edit: I just realized you can see who voted for what if you hover your cursor over the bar. Was that option available before?

Haha, yeah. The thing is, I share a desktop with my brother. Actually, he kinda just took it over and moved it to his room and plays WoW constantly. I used to play more often before cuz I was playing at herbal remedies’ place, but now that I’m back home, I’m not on as often. @_@ I’m more active on the forums than anything now cuz my stupid laptop won’t run CS properly. D:<

amx_votealltalk will allow you to put up a vote to enable OR disable alltalk.
I think I would prefer a vote to enable/disable it; I’m not sure how many admins are going to remember to throw up a custom vote prior to using amx_alltalk <1|0>.

We don’t have access to the command to vote for alltalk in 1.sex. I second the idea for letting us use alltalk as long as there’s like… 10 people in the server.
(btw, Marley, here’s the suggestion from a month ago).
If I may, I’d like to suggest giving us the option to vote extend, too; it’s helpful for when the server is half full (and we can do votes) and people are asking for an extension. When it’s half full, if people want to keep playing, I’ll throw up a vote for the same map again. The thing is, when we play the longer maps (like nuke or something), if I throw up a vote to play the map again, we’ll have been playing it for an hour. I don’t mind, but some people really just want an extra 10-15 minutes on the map.

I thought he was RELIABLE. Also, I doubt it had to do with him wanting to carry the bomb; the team just couldn’t rush to a site cuz the bomb was still in spawn. I never made it to t spawn, but my radar showed that cts were EVERYWHERE and t’s were dying near spawn. WAITING FOR THE BOMB, I PRESUME.

While it’s true that not everyone shares the same views as you, there are rules that people still have to abide by and people to enforce them.
Let’s say human sacrifice was still practiced today (it may well be in remote areas, but that’s besides the point; I just mean openly and maybe on a mass scale). It may be acceptable to that culture to kill someone for their god or for whatever reason, but if they come to the US and try to kill someone for the same reason as they did back home, they’re on our turf. We enforce our laws. They murdered that person. It’s a clash of beliefs, but there’s order to maintain here.
So even though people view things differently, it doesn’t mean that we let them run rampant on our servers just cuz we can’t make their point of view conform to ours. They can either abide by the rules — watch what they say and play — or they can leave (voluntarily or by force).

Chronologically, we gained fifty billion admins when the requirements were just 50 post/small hours, then heightened the requirements for admins and stopped gaining admins for a while.
I don’t know if you guys have realized or not, but the server is dead. We have 50 billion admins but only 5% play a significant amount. We need new active admins to be able to encourage a new younger population. These high standards that we expect the admins are great when the server has a thriving population but now when we are lucky to get 12 players in the server on dust2 need lower stipulations for admin.

Last semester, I shared a room with a lesbian and I was careful not to say “that’s *edited*” around her for obvious reasons. She didn’t ask me to, but I am usually aware of what I say around certain people. At my previous job, I was talking to this lady named Jacqueline Ceman. We had to verify the customer’s identity before we did anything with their accounts and her husband was the one on the account. I asked her verify the name. It was Richard Ceman. I had to mute her so I could lol. What kind of assholes names their kid Richard when their last name is pronounced like “semen”?
