ALLTALK?!?!?!?

I know i saw some discussion of this issue a while back but could not locate it. I think it would be a good idea for when there are between 8 and 14 people and u kinda wanna do some smack talkin..usually its just me wanting to laugh at major for my major ownage without having to use admin chat etc.

We don’t have access to the command to vote for alltalk in 1.sex. I second the idea for letting us use alltalk as long as there’s like… 10 people in the server.

 

(btw, Marley, here’s the suggestion from a month ago).

 

If I may, I’d like to suggest giving us the option to vote extend, too; it’s helpful for when the server is half full (and we can do votes) and people are asking for an extension. When it’s half full, if people want to keep playing, I’ll throw up a vote for the same map again. The thing is, when we play the longer maps (like nuke or something), if I throw up a vote to play the map again, we’ll have been playing it for an hour. I don’t mind, but some people really just want an extra 10-15 minutes on the map.

Alltalk voting is a bad idea and, as recently complained about, doesn’t work in Source.

 

You have the option to custom vote and the option to turn alltalk on. Maybe allow admins to turn alltalk on and off and make them put up a custom vote before doing it. Idk how AMX works so that may not even be possible.

I believe there is an amx plugin that will allow it, i’m researching it right now

amx_votealltalk will allow you to put up a vote to enable OR disable alltalk.

 

I think I would prefer a vote to enable/disable it; I’m not sure how many admins are going to remember to throw up a custom vote prior to using amx_alltalk <1|0>.

i’m indifferent about alltalk. haven’t really heard any people ask for alltalk in the wcu server. i think i can recall like one person asking for it in the past year?

I said this on the server and sticky can quote me on it, but if I have to listen too toran and beer 24-7 with alltalk turned on in the server i’ll slit my own throat. :/

LOL, I’ve seen it thrown around on the forums a bunch of times. I don’t know who originally said it, but I didn’t come up with it. But cuz 1.6 > sauce, I thought it was very fitting and haz stoled it.

 

Edit: I just realized you can see who voted for what if you hover your cursor over the bar. Was that option available before?

I found a plugin that I am going to use that will give admins the ability to turn alltalk on and off with an amx_alltalk <1|0> command. There will also be ability to vote for alltalk using a /alltalk command in mm1

 

Ill look more into it today and hopefully have it put into place soon.

This is how it was awile ago. I swear it was standard command for amxx and modx. Im will to bet the amx flag is just not being pulled or not set up.

I had the command installed on the server last year, but there was a period where the server was reinstalled like 4 times, and I don’t think the plugin made it back.

Yeah I remember when this happened. I’m pretty sure its not on there and I will check to see if there is a amx flag for it, but I dont think there is
