HAHA! That’s what I was going to say minus the thesaurus part.

ParticipantThe weirdest last name I’ve seen at my school is Chicken. Amy Chicken. She was running for some office for the SGA and then like a year later her brother, Chicken Little, also ran for something.
You know, last names used to change depending on your occupation, like Miller, Cooper, Baker, etc. I wonder what the Grow*edited*’s ancestors did.

Actually, it was just this one picture from Harold and Kumar, but googling it would be weird at work.
I could arrange to have your favorite sammich delivered.

I can still see smileys in my posts even though I disabled them.

I turned it off in my settings and all I see are the markup colons / parenthesis.
It showed up once when I submitted a post. This face showed up.
😮When I first typed up that post in the quote above, the
face showed up as a colon and parentheses, but when I went back to edit, it turned into a graphical smiley. THEN when I edited it again, it turned back into colon parentheses. I dunno, I’ll test it out some more. Actually, we’ll just see with this post, I guess.Edit: Submitting edit to see if it happens again.
It did.
When I go back to edit a post, it changes text smileys to graphical smileys.

Updating.

My computer restarts itself periodically for the Windows Updates; the last time it was updated was 09/24/09. It’s set to install new updates every day at 3am. Your reaction is kinda unsettling. @_@
That’s because you’re running Vista SP1 with IE7. You haven’t run WU in about 6 months.
Meh, so why did it say that when I checked Windows Update? >_< Not doubting you, but I’m wondering what the heck my laptop’s been doing.

I know this. I also typed that response when I was still sleeping (well, super groggy); I didn’t think to add (nor did I really think that it needed to be explained) that it’s Sunday and there’s no one available to contact.
Also, I found this:
http://www.vistax64.com/vista-general/59369-hard-drive-free-space-keeps-changing.html
SS&D came up with nothing srs. I’ll do the other scans, too, just in case, but I think this might be worth looking into.

ParticipantMy question is… I thought Windows7 doesn’t come out till next month. And I know I’m seeing threads where people already have it. So how do I get ahold of it?
Also, I ran a scan and it came up with nothing (using AVG).
torankusu
ParticipantO NOES. @_@ How do I get ahold of one of those?
Also, can I just use the recovery cds or whatever? My laptop came with Vista, so I don’t have a cd to install it with, but I recall making the recovery cds (or dvds) earlier this year.

Question: I usually like to use my own smilies, so I always check off the box to disable smilies before submitting a post (well, occasionally I won’t). I know there’s an option to do so in my account settings, but the option to view posted images is thrown in with the disable smilies option. Is there any way to make it so that they’re two separate things? I want to be able to view images… I just don’t want graphical smilies. @_@
torankusu
ParticipantYay! Thanks, Liam.
Also, I think the shoutbox was only available to admins before, but when I’m signed out, I can see what’s being said.
