Can’t you upgrade it later anyway if you know how to transfer the OS?

Yes you can. Technically if you know how to transfer the OS you don’t have to bother with Microsofts proprietary harddrives since the harddrives that the Xbox uses are just a regular laptop harddrive. You could save a lot of money doing it this way but it voids the warranty that Microsoft gives the Xbox.

Back to the PS3 vs. 360 thing now. Here is a list of games that I don’t think are on the PS3 that the Xbox has.

    Gears of War

    Gears of War 2

    Halo 3

    The Last Remnant

    Fable II

    Ninja Gaiden II

    Lost Odyssey

    Mass Effect

    Left 4 Dead

That’s all I could think of off the top of my head. All the games mention here are worthy of checking out.

I agree with Master P. You’ll do better with a 360 just for the simple fact that there is a wide variety of good games for the console. As far as harddrives go it doesn’t really matter what size you get. The only reason you would need a bigger sized harddrive for the console would be for the DLC (downloadable content) you can get from Xbox Live or downloading a game to the box itself for faster load times (not really a noticeable difference).

Pick up Left 4 Dead, it’s great fun. Gears of War 2 is also a good choice but you might not be into a third person shooter. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is definitely fun to play. You can also pick up either Guitar Hero: World Tour or Rock Band 2. Also don’t forget about the Xbox Live arcade, they have tons of games that you can buy and download straight to your Xbox. The Xbox has a wide array of games most of which are decent so it shouldn’t be too hard finding something you’ll get into.

Here’s my game line up for reference:

    Gears of War

    Gears of War 2

    Halo 3

    Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

    Guitar Hero: Areosmith

Ninja Gaiden II ||||NOTE|||| – See link >>>>>

    Bio Shock

    Forza 2

    Lego Indiana Jones

Kung Fu Panda (Came with the xbox >.>)

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Definitely look into this game.)

Yea, it’s games like this that make me wanna sell my Wii. They havent released an even half way decent game in MONTHS (WHAT THE HELL!). If Brawl and RE4 Wii Edition wasnt half way decent, I would have sold it already.

You aren’t kidding man. I would have done the same thing.

A friend of mine bought it and I watched him play it. I’m sorry to say that it’s pure garbage. Ya they have different instruments you can play but it’s the same freaking motion for every instrument. There aren’t many songs and it get repetitive really fast. Sure you can mess with the songs a little by adding a few extra notes in between the regular ones or change the tempo but it doesn’t make up for how much the game sucks.

4 came out a while ago. And yes there is a 5. Personally I don’t like it just because of the fact they went back to WWII and all the guns are old and not all spiffy like they were in CoD4. The game looks good but it’s still pretty much the same as CoD4 as far as game play goes. They added in some new weapons and the like but I’m not really a CoD fan so you’ll probably hear more positive feed back from other people.

NOTE: I am NOT saying this is a bad game, it’s just not great.

Depending on when it is, I may be in that neck of the woods. Normally I wouldn’t be able to make these, because i live in Houston, but I was planning a trip that way; might stop by to say HELLO

Just so you aren’t confused the next LAN is Dec 6. The meeting for the LAN is sometime next week. I wouldn’t expect you to drive all the way out here for a meeting, lol.

If I remember correctly from the minutes, the GH3 tournament was voted in as a ‘Medium’ difficulty. I don’t care one way or another, but if thats how it was decided at the meeting, then thats how it needs to be played at the LAN.

That is incorrect. It was left up to me to decide the difficulty. The discussion was to have a Medium side tournament as Dark Omen has said. Sorry the for the confusion.

I hate to ask but it needs asking, are consoles going to go by the votes of this meeting or do they plan to hold another meeting later to pick games?

We didn’t last time? If I remember correctly all we did at the meeting was replace one of the games that was voted on with another game which also had a decent number of votes.

Really the problem is that there are too many games out for consoles to play and we can’t possibly squeeze them all in. It’s a good thing to discuss at the meeting. And please let’s keep it to a “discussion” and not an argument.

Don’t waste your money on buying RB1. You can just pay $5 on RB2 to import all the RB1 songs (minus 3).

Oh ya Rock Band 2 is much better then the original. The song list is insane and for $5 you can import all the songs from RB into RB2. And all of your downloaded songs from RB work on RB2 to begin with. Not much has changed with the gameplay other than the new design for the drums which I have yet to try out since Wal-Mart was sold out of them.
