My mom bought my brother and I a 360 this Christmas! Neither of us asked for it, which was the best part. I haven’t paid any attention to Xbox games since I sold mine early this summer.
Any games I should consider buying? I’m a huge fan of RPG’s and stealth action games. Not so much into shooters, other than CS. A friend of mine told me to pickup Fallout 3, which I’m going to look into. So far FO3 and Fable 2 are the only things to catch my eye.

If you’re computer couldn’t play CoD4 now’s a great time to get it and the online is pretty good too from what I hear.
But if you have played CoD4 on the PC I’d avoid it on the 360. It’s kind of trashy in comparison.
You could always pick up Assassin’s Creed if you havent already played it. Not as phenomenal as many claimed, but I got a kick out of it.
I’ve played and beaten the Halo series. I’m thinking about getting CoD5, but I dunno. I played it a friends, its pretty good. But I don’t see myself playing it for too long haha. I also played Assassins Creed waaaaay too much. Running around the cities just destroying people was amazing. My brother plans on getting it on boxing day as well, so I don’t need to pick er’ up.

I’d suggest more current, but the owner of the 360 I have access doesnt buy games for it anymore and we’ve been sticking to PS3 lately.

Get the new Prince of Persia.
No explanation there, if you have ever played the series, rumors say this is up there with the best
Other Notable games:
Mass Effect – One of the coolest RPG’s on the 360. It’s from the makers of the star wars rpg that came out on xbox a few years back. The storyline is intense, and the voice over’s of the characters are from some pretty well known actors.
Grand Theft Auto 4 – uhhh duh?
The latest Need 4 Speed – there are so many, but the latest copy may not even be on xbox. This game looks freakin sweet in HD.
MK vs. DC – I’ve always said, superman could totally kick scorpions *edited*, and it’s true!
Advent Rising – fast 3rd person shooter. kind of neat if you have time to blow
Braid – For whatever reason this platform game is one of the highest rated 360 games currently. I guess it brings back memories of 2D side scrolling adventure days.
NHL 09 – This game is rediculous. And you have to have a hockey game. too too too much fun
Oblivion – If you can appreciate Fallout 3, you can appreciate Bethesda’s other killer RPG.
The Ninja Gaiden’s – pretty sweet action moves, I think assassins creed and the new prince of persia has it beat. Still great games to play
and many many many more. *edited*, I wish I never sold my xbox 360 =(
I love Oblivion, its so much fun! But I can never beat it. I pick it up, get really far and then quit for a year.
I completely forgot about POP and Mass Effect. I am going to have to check those out as well.
I’ve had trouble getting into Halo and Fallout. Also, I’ve heard the new Prince of Persia i good, but way too easy compared to last generations games in the series.
I can’t recommend Bioshock highly enough. The game absolutely drips with style.
Fable 2 was good but god it was really short. The new N4S is a great pick if ur into racing games. Also the new COD is a good pick there’s nothing like burning “japs” when ur bored lol – No offense meant.
Lionhead Studios said it would be short if all you did was play through the story, you would also be poor and scrawny and not very liked, however if you do side quests as well and involve yourself with the game and the community/economics you get a more rounded gameplay. If all you did is play through the story and said it was short then no wonder because I am pretty sure they said that playing straight through would result in about 15-20 hours of gameplay for the story, other than that the world is almost limitless as to what you can do in it.
I went to EB, Zellers and Toy’s R Us trying to find Fallout 3 but had no luck. I settled for Fable 2, but it really isn’t as good as I thought it would be. My brother bought Assassin’s Creed which is a kick *edited* game. I got it last year for Christmas, played the *edited* out of it, but I’ll probably start a new game soon enough. A friend lent me GTA4, I’ll play that soon enough as well.
I also couldn’t find Prince Of Persia at any of the stores I went to..boxing day sales are insane.
Pick up Left 4 Dead, it’s great fun. Gears of War 2 is also a good choice but you might not be into a third person shooter. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is definitely fun to play. You can also pick up either Guitar Hero: World Tour or Rock Band 2. Also don’t forget about the Xbox Live arcade, they have tons of games that you can buy and download straight to your Xbox. The Xbox has a wide array of games most of which are decent so it shouldn’t be too hard finding something you’ll get into.

It was alright I got it just because the Lego Star Wars was really good.
Only on person has mentioned GTA IV. This game is massive amounts of entertainment. It is lost of fun when yu are just bored and want to drive/fly around.
All you need is the:
-Halo Series (Especially Halo 3)
-Call Of Duty series
-Gears of War series
-And for sports you just gotta get Madden.
Have these games and you’ll be satisfied.!!
Screw the 360, sell it and get a Wii. And hell, while your at it, make Wii Music your first purchase! It won game of the year on every site Ive been to for 2008! rotfl
Naw, from my experience with the 360, Id say you should get Mass Effect, Soul Calibur IV, Street Fighter IV, and both Gears of War games.
