People were a little busy though, if I remember correctly they showed up in the middle of one of the CS/CSS tournament qualifiers. Not the best time. I also remember that they gave out LOTS of the stuff so you it’s hard to say we weren’t at least a little appreciative.

Post bashing isn’t the point of this thread either. Was mearly pointing out that a cmdrate of 100 is fairly high. Btw, server enforcement of rates isn’t terribly common.

If the club execs can’t express their opinion WITH VALID PROOF to back it up then maybe we need to change the constitution to say as much. They have just as much a right to express their likes and dislikes as you do and like Kuros said, when it came to the vote there wasn’t a single hand raised to remove the 1.6 server.
Cmdrate can go as low as 20 without causing trouble, below that you start causing trouble for everyone.

If you can get FiOS, do get it. Fiber optic lines are light years more reliable than DSL and moderately moreso than cable as well. Their promised speed will be what you will get 99% of the time.
For the price, no other provider can touch that package.

Looks like I’m upgrading to an AWP next lan.
You can buy the glock while you’re a CT. It’s not on the menu but there’s a bug that lets you buy it if you were switched from T and you rebuy your last config.

TAG had problems with airstrafing (AKA bunnyhopping) on their low gravity servers. There is still no official decision on it and is generally left up to admins because most people use scripts (as you said) to do the timing for them. This came after a 20+ page forum thread arguing about how to actually do it, none of them could tell me straight up how to do it consistently even with airaccel set on high levels. All I was told was “go play surf and scouts/knives and you’ll get really good at it fast”. Having specd people for hours on end, I can say for certain that not many can do that without using scripts. We went so far as setting airaccel to virtually zero and still had them doing it.
My view is, and has always been, I catch you doing it in on a normal map (during the round) and I’ll slay you. It DOES give an extremely unfair advantage because it makes it much harder to hit you and next to impossible to headshot you.

Gotta love the shottie. Unlike EVERY OTHER GUN, the shotgun’s accuracy INCREASES when you jump. Oh, and the headhots from across the map, gotta love those too.

You don’t have to be AT your computer to grind, in fact it’s quite easy to grind on 4 seperate accounts while you’re droning away in math class or hitting up some Sauce.
Catch is if you grind using this peculiar method and aren’t good at it you could get banned. Something about cheats… I don’t know…
