SpectatorYou can bet the next SSB game will be patchable. Tbh, I’m surprised that Brawl wasn’t.
MasterP
SpectatorNot to troll or argue but doesn’t that apply to a number of Melee characters as well?
MasterP
SpectatorShooting Nickname and Kuros in the face is what kept me going to LANs all those years

Oh, and winning DoDS, but then they got tired of me winning and stopped playing it

MasterP
SpectatorBecause they learned to play on Melee and don’t like the changes made in Brawl.
Consider yourself lucky that they’re using Melee. Last semester they used a modded version of Brawl <_>
MasterP
SpectatorGlanced through the first 6 pages, couldn’t find a reason. Besides thinking he’s overpowered, which is an argument that could be made about any of the high tiers, was there a reason given for it?
I never had a problem killing metaknight. Then again, I didn’t use any of the “high tiers.”
MasterP
SpectatorI don’t really consider the Batman movies to be a series but yeah The Dark knight is extremely good.
MasterP
SpectatorUnfortunately, none of the execs have admin catcards so if RA/RDs “forget” to put them up we have no way of going in there and doing it ourselves.

There’s no may, they *will* have to lol

SpectatorI can count on one hand the number of movies with sequels that are as good as the original.
MasterP
SpectatorCompare it to the average movie today. It’s not half bad.

Spectatorinb4 Dragonball Evolution style failure
Game to movie attempts usually end in disaster. The original Mortal Kombat was a fluke and its greatness is rivaled only by Annihilation’s utter failure.
MasterP
SpectatorConsidering the number of people playing LoL, it would be best if you used your own. The PC section used to have a bunch that didn’t play it and some would let others use their computers during the tournament but I don’t think that’s the case anymore.
You’re certainly allowed to borrow someone else’s computer to play it but you’d want to secure that guarantee before gameday.

Anywho, there are guides all over the internet. If you want I can write you a step-by-step next week, I’ve got OSX 10.6 in a virtual machine on my PC

If you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself you can take it to the IT desk in the basement of Hunter Library. Depending on how prioritizing works there now it may take up to a week for it to get done.

I would love to start playing again but sadly I have a mac and i dont even know if my acount would still work. Plus if anyone one needs another player for the 8th match i could join. DO we have to bring our on computers or anything to play and can i try to open my accout on someone computer?
You account is still active and you can log in using the Windows client.
Why not use Bootcamp to install Windows7 on your Mac?

To the kid who we hope now permanently talks with a rasp: When you act like a *edited*head to someone twice your size, they may try to kill you. Welcome to the last 2.5 million years of human evolution.
Best ending to an article. Ever.

SpectatorYou don’t always want to see something “in your face.” After an hour the effect gets old and the “this is cool” shock wears off. Being bored in a movie threater is, well, boring.
MasterP
SpectatorThat’s about as likely as a Mechwarrior movie, and even Dean Devlin couldn’t make that work out.
MasterP
SpectatorIf you plan to contact someone for a sizable donation it needs to be at least a month out. You’ll get better results trying to pick them up for the LAN after this one.
MasterP
SpectatorI have no problems with them doing it, because you’re right about the competiting service, but boxing the game back up and selling it as though nothing happened is where I draw the line in terms of decency. Once something like that becomes acceptable there’s no limit to what retailers will do. One day you’ll find yourself opening the box before you leave the store just to verify that you get everything.
MasterP
SpectatorTo be perfectly honest I’m surprised it took EA as long as it did to corrupt the Battlefield series. They and Activision both screw over almost everything they touch.
MasterP
SpectatorYou just aren’t as easily impressed as you were when you were… 5…
3D is just a sales gimmick. It’s a phase that repeats every 15-20 years. If history holds true it’ll remain moderately popular for the next year or so and then die back off again.
MasterP
SpectatorIt’s been estimated that the combined sum of the unfriendly PC decisions will cost them ~400,000 sales. Sad, really. It could have easily beaten MW3, now it won’t.
MasterP
SpectatorWhen you were around, console expansion was orderly and its growth exponential.
No offense to anyone else, but when you look at the club’s growth curve you can definately tell when you stepped aside. That e^(x) curve became an x/20 line.
MasterP
SpectatorWait, what?
If that’s there I will be too.
MasterP
SpectatorMost people who play it often turn the 3D completely off. It’s still a good handheld but autostereoscopic isn’t, and never will be, feasible.

take longer to aim.. It’s also really difficult to control player movement.
Bingo. Those are the flaws Nintendo has spent the last 5 years trying to fix.
Fast-paced FPS simply can’t be done with that style of controller. And going from a controller to the Move gun is like going from keyboard/mouse to a controller. You might be ok in single player but you’ll never be able to compete in multiplayer.
MasterP
SpectatorIf I was still on campus I could push to get networking to interconnect them again for the ports used by consoles. It shouldn’t be hard to do but it’s alot of tedious work they aren’t going to want to do themselves

I still can’t fathom why Sony is pushing the Move for FPS games. Nintendo’s been trying to make that work since release day and still hasn’t managed to do it. Does Sony really think they can do any better?
