MasterP
SpectatorWow yeah let’s make the SENTENCE take up my entire screen. That’s sure to win brownie points with the judges.
THIS THREAD WAS A JOKE. If you can’t understand the joke please don’t ruin the thread. Click the back button a couple times and troll on over to the next thread.
If the club execs can’t express their opinion WITH VALID PROOF to back it up then maybe we need to change the constitution to say as much. They have just as much a right to express their likes and dislikes as you do and like Kuros said, when it came to the vote there wasn’t a single hand raised to remove the 1.6 server.

SpectatorMasterP I understand how you feel, but when you are elected to a position that puts you in standings to “KEEP THE PEACE” you have a different stand on opinions. You simply do what is best for the club. Kuros does have an opinion .. but we all know this forum thread is a joke and I truly think that alot of the source players are coming in the 1.6 thread to recruit people over so that they can have more people to play with. Which is fine by me, but dont bash the game. Well its all a joke anyway right MasterP? I mean .. really both games are good games right? My opinion as the founder of the gaming club is that the more you oppose any game that they gaming club plays the less games you will be hosting in the end and the more people you will have opposing you simply because of how you feel about the game .. The only game I have an opinion about is WOW. But we cant host that game. Plus I love getting into discussions with Kuros about what is better 1.6 and CSS because he is so gullible and defensive. With the underlying thought that in the past it has been commented to take 1.6 off of our hosting games I think we are all allowed to defend it in anyway possible to keep the game in the rotation.
Summ up what i said for people like me..
Dont post in the 1.6 thread your comments about how bad it is.. We dont care.. thats a random thread topic.

SpectatorOk, so I have read your responses, and as normal only 1 person actually read what I wrote (Thanks Dice). I never mentioned anyone wanting to remove any game, though to be honest that is what it sounded like Bitey wanted to do to 1.6, but I didn’t comment on it. I does not matter if it was a joke, the behavior even as a joke, could be miscontrued and could drive off potential students to WCU because it appears that the President has a blatant disregard for a popular WCU supported game. And MasterP, have you read the constitution? Yea, I didn’t think so.
See you guys at the LAN!

SpectatorFFS PEOPLE I SAID IF IT WERE TO EMPTY OUT THAT WOULD BE THE ONLY REASON I WOULD WANT IT REMOVED, STOP TAKING WHAT I SAY WRONG, I DO SUPPORT ALL THE GAMING CLUB SERVERS. IF YOU STILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH WHAT I SAID PLEASE TALK TO ME ABOUT IT AT THE LAN OR SOME OTHER TIME.

SpectatorBitey this was brought up way before you were in office.
September 19, 2007 at 12:57 pm #27110Bitey
SpectatorAs it should have been, and should be continuously brought up, we should always look at the games we have on the servers and consider their value to the club and not individuals, I say this for all games not just 1.6.

SpectatorGuess we need to get on the club executives about getting the constitution updated…Probably Webmaster…But if you would like, when I get home I can attach it…cause you know I have it:) And you right, it is not mentioned in the constitution, nor should it be.
It is just good business that when you offer products or services, the executives shouldn’t talk bad about those products or services even jokingly…or you run the risk of losing potential customers. That was my point.

Spectatorjust my $0.02 – the club should suit the active members of the club, as in the members that utilise the server regularly. We should provide access to the games in demand. We should honor our past, but not let it tie us down. I don’t suggest calling 1.6 old and doing the whole monty python and the holy grail “he’s almost dead” routine until it disappears, but I do recommend that we maintain servers suited to the active club.
If there’s still people enjoying it then indeed it shall be played.
We need to check and see how many WCU students utilise which of our servers. not just 1.6, but source, gungame, and… wait, do we have any others active or are we holding out the rest of the slots for TF2 and UT3
as for 1.6, it has given us great things… scoutzknivez, scoutzknivez, and more scoutzknivez <3
and for what it’s worth, I’m with Bitey on this one

SpectatorI R Scapegoat….
September 20, 2007 at 9:59 am #27184Ashley Faulkner
SpectatorActually, it’s not Bitey’s fault the constitution was updated and MasterP just didn’t look at it. I noticed that yesterday afternoon. But it is his job to update the servers thus he isn’t the scapegoat, it is his job, per the constitution.
