When I was drunk and running to defuse or plant the bomb (can’t remember). I meet a ladder and tell the guy who just went down it that I’m probably going to die, then proceed to *edited* up climbing down the ladder and end up launching myself in the air to a nice death.

Have a competitive LAN and a non competitive LAN. Make sure the big name tournament games at played at the competitive LAN.
Ah, I had them protect the camp in exchange. Seemed like a fair deal to me.
I killed a super mutie with the brotherhood, that was easy. I’ve been running around finding side quests everywhere… Still haven’t gotten the dog his new satellite dish.

Supermutants are easy unless they have that helmet on. The ones without helmets = dead with 4 VATS shots to the head with my laser pistol.
The ‘vampire’ thing is interesting because
they aren’t really vampires… They are simply cannibals who have figure out that they don’t have to eat flesh to satisfy their hunger.
I think it fits the post apocalyptic scenario quite well.
Had a fun quest with the Brotherhood of Steele that was halted early due to a supermutant making the quest givers head explode

It felt appropriate
.Left4Dead. Fallout 3 is amazing but you since it doesn’t have an online interface you can well.. I’m buying the good – non online – PC games once I get the money. The online PC games are my current monetary priority.
Farcry 2 is awesome.
Fallout 3 will be played tonight.
Fable 2 was buggy and runs poorly but still has some neat things.
Deadspace is simply amazing.
Saints Row 2 is so off the wall that it completely seperates itself from the direction GTA is taking, thus making it a great game.
Left4Dead, Gears of War 2, and Red Alert 3 are my next ‘targets’

Things that could be fixed:
Enter doesn’t submit the form on the login page, not sure about the registration page.
Navigation buttons would be more effective than links.
Submit for the actual registration page doesn’t stand out.
Once submitted the user stays on the registration form page. (A separate simple confirmation page might be better here).
I know its a small thing but I think everything we do represents our club and I just wanna make sure the little things are done well too!
If you ever need any help I’d be more than willing.
Also, Adobe Flex 3 is awesome… It has some bugs but for a flash web based developer environment it is amazing…

24/7 2fort gets my vote
. Mainly because I’m sure it’ll pop the server. 24/7 2fort + hlstats = popped server.Basically, a PC gamer knows what games are being played in tournaments currently. It isn’t a guessing game. If we want to attract people to WCU through our club then it only makes sense to look at what the largest number of people are playing ‘at the time’ across the nation. For PC’s this isn’t difficult because it is obvious what games are huge and the selection one has to wade through isn’t nearly as large.
Just because you are tired of playing a certain game, doesn’t mean that people who go to those kinds of events (LAN Tournaments) are tired of them. Since technically what we host is a LAN tournament, we should focus on games that people who frequent those events are playing currently.
The only RTS tournament I’ve ever enjoyed involved world in conflict. Fantastic style of gameplay for tournaments. Downside is people here never had the PC’s to run it
.I go to LAN tournaments to play big name games competitively. Ironically out of the 12 tournaments (not WCU) that I’ve played in, Gunbound wasn’t in appearance.
It has been proposed that we have a free play LAN. I could see this type of game working well in that setting. If I want to play some classic old games I’ll do it on my own time. As a PC gamer I go to the LAN to play the current games that I actually spend time playing. Typically these are big name games and the reason they get voted in each event is because PC gamers enjoy them.
I don’t really care too much that Gunbound was voted in. I care more about ‘how’ it was done and ‘why.’
This new idea of ‘lets make our LAN partys as abstract as possible’ is not going to work. Our events will not get bigger hosting no name tournaments. Since the LANs we currently host are Tournament LANs, we need to focus on games that are tournament oriented and well known.
If we need a freeplay LAN then lets vote on it but most indie/casual will not positively affect the growth of our attendance at tournament LANs unless we turn it into an Expo, at which point we would likely be stationed in a much bigger building. When voting one should look at what people are currently playing and what will attract more people. Always think in terms of nation wide advertising. What games will attract people to WCU? Based on our clubs mission statement, we should be focusing on attracting people to the University. Logically the best and most statistically sound way to do that is to choose the popular tournament games and create a fun environment.
