As you found out last LAN, I suggest possibly finding a way to reduce the time limit while still having legitimate games. Maybe reduce TDM score for MW3 to 5000 and the number of respawns for Gears to 10.
I figure with a 10 minute time limit for CoD it would eliminate any excess time. As far as GoW I figure as long its a one game series 2 out of 3 rounds it would be bearable time wise. The reason why we went over last time is because it was best 2 out of 3 rounds then best 2 out of 3 games. Therefore it ended up being best 7 out of 9 rounds to win the entire series. I was very naive to think that would be a good idea lol, therefore I am just doing 1 game best 2 out of 3 rounds and single elimination. I will consider lowering the # of respawns for GoW though. I was thinking of having one at each station if we could find enough people that have them, I know of 6 so we just need 2 more.

Some people were upset at how the meeting was so disorderly so we decided to attempt parliamentary procedure. He conducts the meeting and says which people can talk when.

I am reffing for MLG Raleigh that weekend but if we have enough people who would be willing to work it that sounds like a prime date.In the registration there was a place to add notes or specific requests. I added that we needed some source of power but I will call the UC help desk to make sure. Any recommendations on the date of the Freshman LAN Mitch?
Just finished registering for Valley Ballyhoo 2011, hopefully we will be provided with some source of power but if not we will figure it out. We have the first two dates figured out for the first meeting and LAN. I am almost done with the half sheets and just have to contact the RD of Scott to reserve Scott Blue sometime. Any recommendations on the Freshman LAN date?

Please note this year’s event is on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 4:30pm – 7:00pm. Participants should arrive to set up their display on August 20 between 3:30-4:00pm.
The problem we encountered last time is that Scott Blue did not have sufficient power, it only powered about 8 consoles and I would personally want to have more power for more consoles.
The only thing I will need is people to come help me run it, switches and consoles. I’ll try and find people that would be willing to bring consoles. I’d also like to find another room other thank Scott blue but Scott blue is a nice location for this.
Kaz said he would talk to whomever we need to get it tomorrow. I could do it but cannot find the person to ask anywhere online
