Again, if people are “*edited*ing with you” then just mute them in game, take your headphones off when you die. Simple as that…grow some balls, and go swallow some cement because you need to harden the *edited* up *edited*.
I think the argument to the zero second buy time is similar to the bunny hopping rule. Our server is a pub, and the people that play here are not cal-m monsters that have scripts or can buy in their sleep. We are trying to look out for every caliber of player, and if that means not allowing bunny hopping for various reasons, or giving people 3-4 seconds to buy, then so be it. We are advocating a fun play environment (with the attempt at objectives of course) and we don’t want people have more advantages than others.
As usual, an un-needed remark from Derrick. He means “we” as in the whole admin community since we all have some input in the admin applications, whether it be the majority of the pull in the execs, or just a little push from the regular admins. Dean IS part of the community as an admin, no need to bash him for this.
And yea, I too agree that there should be some sort of check list for the admin requirements, like an “I agree” page, and if they check yes and post and still don’t meet the requirements, make their next requirements harder to attain.

Yeah, it’s your classic “storm the house” scenario, and all the T’s do is camp, but if people don’t want to play it, that’s what the RTV is for…There are maps on the server that some people do not enjoy, for instance, sk3 and cpl_fire. Both maps usually get half votes when rtv comes up. Now, sk3 really belongs on a fun-night map rotation. It’s fun occasionally, but I don’t want to play it every time I log onto WCU CS:S.
Same goes for assault. It’s a legit map, and it has my vote to go on the reg rotation. I’ll leave the admins to do an actual poll or something.
Well unfortunately for you, sk3 will NEVER leave the rotation because too many old peeps like it. And cs_assault will NEVER make it back into the rotation because it is a server killer. Simple as that. But it was a good try. : )

And let’s look at the Rockets head to head against Portland…
Game 1 of the year: November 6 at Portland, Loss 99 to 101 on a freak shot by Roy. If you put the Blazers in that situation 1000 more times, Brandon Roy will make that shot 1 more time. It was an impossible shot to end a great game full of ridiculous highlights.
Game 2 of the year: February 24 in Houston, Win 98 to 94. Ron Artest went 5-13, A Brooks went 8-20, and Yao went 6-15. I will take a win with those terrible numbers ANY day. If anything, that was a bad game by the Blazers to lose because the Rockets were obviously sucking that night…
Game 3 of the year: April 5 in Houston, Win 102 to 88. Nothing to say here.
Now tell me WHERE you see the Blazers have any edge here against the Rockets?? Maybe you should check some stats before you try to throw out numbers at us(me in particular)…
AGAIN, the Blazers are TOO young. And you can quote me on this, “The Blazers WILL win at least two ships in the next 7 years.” They are super talented and just a trade or two and some more development away from reaching the next level.
In the next two years Brandon Roy will be in the MVP considerations and they will only be getting better…
LA will have zero problems winning the west. Although they have lost 8 out of their last 9 in the Rose Garden, the playoffs are totally different, and a young team will eventually come down to earth. And LA will have homecourt advantage, so even if it goes 7, it will be another Celtics/Atlanta series…In other words, Portland is still too young.
And I do agree with Atlanta being the sleeper team in the east, I love watching them…
And true that on the spurs in the odd…never count them out…

I see no reason for you(Derrick) to be an *edited* to xRay. He never did anything to you, or anyone else in our WCU server. Actually MasterP, you are wrong here…There have been several times where the ATB lags and doesn’t swap people until the round is 4-5 seconds in. It has happened to me several times with no other admins on…just saying…
