great idea with an overwhelming “yes” majority. what else do we need to get this done?

The server life is based on the maps we play, simple as that.
I’ve already suggested cooler, NEWER maps that we could play that I have seen have success on the <GT> (GamerTrust) server. (You should connect to their server if you never have and type listmaps to see what they’re working with- 69.12.53.20:27015*NO SWEARING!) You nominate maps to get them onto the voting option (5 maps + extension option). Most ppl don’t like the map selected? Nominate new ones and get people to “rockthevote”. The majority of power and influence in the server needs to be given to the majority , the players who DON’T have admin. Let’s face it there’s no always admins on and if the server get stuck on some lame *edited* map people should be able to change it. WCU is a great community and the server was doing very well for awhile and still fills up when a good map everyone likes comes on (d2, office, scoutz, etc). However, as the game ages we really have to take a look at what kind of maps we’re putting on. I am not too computer savvy so I’m not sure how much effort it takes to load new maps onto the server, but this change could be very effective if we’re really trying to revitalize our community. The fact is we’ve had pretty much the same maps in our rotation for the past however many years. Yes, some of them are popular, but they’re ALL overplayed. We need a change. Keep the classics.

but for real, shields should be enabled for a week – see how it goes, see how awesome it is, see how burnt out u get on shields and the opponent using them against u and you will no longer want to play with them.

Or leave it in, I really never complain about spammers unless it’s one guy doing it every single round, which it usually is, or 2 or 3.
As far as other maps that we should be playing go. I play on GT’s server sometimes when WCU maps are boring – they have a vote system and a *edited*load of cool maps that don’t empty the server.

there are others but these are some of my favs. i’m not saying add all of these maps, but throw in 2 or 3 and you add so much variety to our map rotation. People download (fast) and learn to like good maps. That’s all I have to say – btw those are in no particular order, just the order i remember them in.

I’ve been told by someone recently, i think it was strife or someone, that Campstaff actually works for steam/valve, so he’s pretty adept at being able to change his IP address and continue to annoy us. Not sure the validity of this information, but what a loser!
I know back when I had admin I banned this guy a solid 8-10 times.

Almost all of the admins were removed with the exception of the current and past executives and the on-campus students who play and had Admin.
Again, feel free to reapply.
I reapplied two days ago when I noticed it was gone.
I understand the reasoning, but I guess my bottom line is that I AM an active member of the community. Not reinstalling IRC was my problem, which I will do if I get admin back. It’s only a big deal to me because I’ve been enforcing the rules of the server for so long now, I still play a good amount of CS and am often the only admin on the server, or one of two. As far as I’m concerned, and as I have been told in the past couple days by regulars, I was a good admin:) Also, on campus players with admin that play were able to stay, but off campus not so much? JW
I won’t say anything more, I’m just shocked this happened lol.

I know right? You guys drop some of the admins who play the most, who have been around the community for a long time. Hell, I go to WCU and have been admin here for a long time. I read forums often even if i dont make posts, etc.
This is saddening.

Yes, you should leave. Why? I say come back after a solid 3 years when you’re not so immature and you no longer feel the need to push people’s buttons and annoy them.
The reason you weren’t in server when you were banned is because you left thinking you were telling on me for abuse, which turns out to be the way i (as well as many others) admin when i have to deal with retarded kids.
I’m not quite sure what your problem is, why you always feel the need to say *edited* to people, then back off and act like you did nothing wrong.
The bottom line is you’ve annoyed far more people than you’ve befriended, and I don’t think there should be any room for someone in this server who talks *edited* about it (ex. reg, the way admins run it, etc).
Sorry for the brutal truth. I wish you the best of luck in this crazy journey called life.

what is wrong with cbble? you guys defend militia and say take out cbble? how does that make any sense? atleast cbble is a fair map – militia is 30 minutes of hell if you get stuck on CT side, and even if you’re a T, it still gets really boring, especially when u consider how many ppl just take their sweet *edited* time sitting either in the front yard or down in sewers.
