If you had your admin and now do not, the reasoning is this:
The council leaders and executive staff went through the admins on all of the servers.
Those that were inactive in the community (IRC and/or Forums) were removed. Being active in the community is a big part of being an admin here.
If you would like to reapply, then please feel free.
i would like to clarify what is active because even though i can’t go on irc due to the settings on my school computer i still participate on forums and such atleast a few posts a day i was wondering who i could take this up with to resolve this situation
Oh, well i used to be active on irc most days but i never reinstalled it after i formatted but i checked the forums at least twice a week but just never posted.
This is a community if you want admin show that you want to be a part of the community by being active in it, just playing on the server doesn’t really amount to much. Either idle IRC and chat in there or post on here.
Well like i said i regularly idled irc until a week or so ago when i reformatted and simply forgot to reinstall it.
I know right? You guys drop some of the admins who play the most, who have been around the community for a long time. Hell, I go to WCU and have been admin here for a long time. I read forums often even if i dont make posts, etc.
This is saddening.
Reading the forums is not being active. To keep your admin, you have to be actively participating in the WCU Gaming Community. That means that your active on the forums and/or on IRC. Your active on the servers. Etc.
Now, if you want to go and reapply to be an admin, you are more than welcome to do so. Keep this in mind though.
Almost all of the admins were removed with the exception of the current and past executives and the on-campus students who play and had Admin.
Again, feel free to reapply.

The reason you have to do more than just read the forums is because if you don’t post anything how can we tell you are actually on. Reading the forums tells us nothing we need to SEE that you are caring about and reading all the posts… well maybe not all but some at least (the one’s pertaining to you)

I reapplied two days ago when I noticed it was gone.
I understand the reasoning, but I guess my bottom line is that I AM an active member of the community. Not reinstalling IRC was my problem, which I will do if I get admin back. It’s only a big deal to me because I’ve been enforcing the rules of the server for so long now, I still play a good amount of CS and am often the only admin on the server, or one of two. As far as I’m concerned, and as I have been told in the past couple days by regulars, I was a good admin:) Also, on campus players with admin that play were able to stay, but off campus not so much? JW
I won’t say anything more, I’m just shocked this happened lol.

Briefs admin application, has been submitted, I haven’t been banned in over four days, I’m really on a role now.
I understand how you feel Skwert but regardless these are the rules we have set forth for keeping your admin. If you just want to play on the server and patrol then you can get on IRC and tell an admin to come in, but if you want to be active in the community and really contribute to what we have going here then we want you as an admin. Understand?
poor briefs and yeah i agree with bitey and liam but can you define active more like is there a set amount or a minimum that you guys are looking for so people get a sense of what you expect
so if an admin simply idles IRC, regardless of weather hes actually at his computer, or not, thats considered being active, atleast when thier in the server thier being pro active by banning hackers and noobs like me to make it a better server to play on.
This is a community. The people who represent it should want to be and are expected to be active within it. Otherwise what are they? Just a person with a stick and no ties to the organization who gave them said stick.
Go post on the forums. Go chat in IRC. Go take part in this community. The CSS Server may not carry near the amount of people that the CS1.6 server does, but the people who do participate on the CSS server are some of the most active posters around.
IRC is a hell of a lot of fun. We get in there and goof off, play with the trivia bot and try to beat each others scores, and generally have a wide, varied range of discussions about everything from how soft the sheeps wool is at night
to who is going to win the presidential election.(No offense to anyone who plays 1.6 and is active is meant.

go reapply manMeh, I’m not gonna reapply. I was only admin because Adam, and he’s hardly around the 1.6 server anymore anyway.
But I lost my slot reservation. . . . that sucks.
