He has been a nuisance in the server for AT LEAST the past 3 nights and no admin has done ANYTHING about him except Urban who came in and kicked him and then sat in spec. and watched him to make sure he didn’t do it again. (Thank you Urban)
Many people have told admins in the server at the time that PokerStars was blocking on purpose and team flashing on purpose and nothing was done.
Because of his bad behavior 3 others decided to join in on his fun and started blocking also.
About 30 minutes ago (RaVeN) I don’t remember the first part of his tag. Splooge or something. Was told by at least 3 different people that PokerStars was blocking on purpose but he did nothing. So I took it upon myself to go into spec. and get some demo’s.
It would be cool if someone would actually do something about him so the rest of the players could go about their business playing CS.
Attached at the 3 demo’s of him. You will see that he not only blocks, but then afterwards camps nearly the entire round.

P.S. I am not trying to call out names here, but it just seems that if an admin is NOT going to at least look into a matter when people are complaining…whats the use in them having admin?
I gotta be honest. I checked this guy out thoroughly tonight. Not only did I spec him, but I switched teams and followed the guy….and while all these people were yelling at/about him on their mics, I didn’t see anything in the way of blocking…..I’m just being honest here.
I didn’t appreciate getting all the “kick him now”, and when I didn’t, all the “you suck as an admin” quotes. Thats not nice. I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing, had I in fact kicked him. But I didn’t see anything wrong with his playing.
Sorry, I’ve done all I can do. Maybe if you can get a demo showing otherwise, it might help.
For the record, I did in fact spec him, for 1 round, and found it odd at all the yelling, but he wasn’t doing any blocking.

I have no problem with you and have been admin before in a few different servers and know its not always easy to catch hackers/bad players/etc, but while you say you checked him out thoroughly…it only took me 3 rounds to get good enough demo’s.
I will find a new host for the demo’s and link them. ASAP.

I did my job. I checked him out, saw nothing. Maybe if you would have posted these demos in the first place, this whole problem could have been avoided.
I have it on good authority that when people are breaking server rules, they tend to stop when an admin is present.

I TRIED to post the demo’s to begin with and it said that the demo’s were uploaded fine (at least I got no error saying they didn’t). Then I later learned from Bitey that I couldn’t have even uploaded the demo’s because there is a 2mb limit (these demo’s are all above that).
And I only see ONE problem…That you didn’t take the time out of playing your game of Counter Strike to spend a few rounds really speccing this guy. I don’t see how you could have (as you said) thoroughly checked this guy out and saw nothing and I only spent 3 rounds in spec. to get demo’s to get him banned. Though I LOVE to play CS, I have spent many rounds and even whole MAPS in spec. getting trouble makers taken care of. I am NOT trying to tell you how to admin, I am just saying…if things have gone as far as people making comments like “You are a bad admin” I think I would probably have stopped there and thought “Ok, something is wrong here, I am either missing something” or helltoupe is just being a jerk.
EITHER WAY… You are an admin in the server and are looked upon to keep the server safe from people like this…be they hackers or just people causing problems. And when you react to players the way you did and kick them for insulting you it just shows you don’t know how to handle the problem other than kicking him. Though I do NOT agree with players insulting admins because I have been admin and I know its not always an easy task…I have a REAL problem with admins who get their admin and then think they are above the “common” CS player on the server and don’t have to take ANY crap from other players. You have to deal with players like this all the time and you should be able to look above a few insults and gotten on with your gaming.

Your mistake was not taking the proper time to check to see if he was actually causing a problem or not…and then when Helltoupe starting telling you he was at it again you brushed him off and denied PokerStars was causing problems when he in fact was, I was on the T side when Helltoupe was telling you it was happening…and thats when I jumped into spec. myself to get the demo’s. It takes what? 5-10 minutes at most to jump into spec and watch someone for a few rounds? But you instead waited until Helltoupe was to the point of calling you a bad admin to actually do anything…and then your response was to kick Helltoupe.
Thats the mistake I saw that you made. But thats YOUR call as admin. I just thought it was pretty weird to not even jump in spec for a few more rounds to see why Helltoupe was making such a fuss. And I can tell you from being there at the time of the incident that PokerStars blocked for at least 10 rounds or more.
As you stated in one of the prior posts “Most hacker/baddies stop when an admin is present.” Well, if you KNOW this why not leave and do like Urban did…come back in under a different alias and sit in spec. for a few to see if he starts back up.

This is about pokerstar and whether or not he was blocking.
Now, I spec’d, and followed him. While in spec, he was moving, no blocking what so ever, yet at the same time people were still yelling at him. This puzzeled me. At that point I told people to calm down.
I checked, and its not your call to question that. I did all I could. End of discussion.

And it IS my call to question your job as admin. If I don’t…Who will? No other admin was in there to see weather or not your actions were appropriate. If admins are not held accountable for their actions by the players that make up the server then the admins will end up like the admins over at Hotel California where the admins are power hungry and will ban players for ANYTHING they want.
Constructive criticism is appreciated and encourged. Constant beating and kicking of a horse that appears for all intents and purposes to be dead from the foul stench arising from its heavily decayed body is pointless.
If there is a problem, post about it, constant harping doesn’t get anything done except cause people’s tempers to flare.

So you’re saying I should start a whole new thread about how I think that Raven could have done better? Seems pretty fruitless because no one would believe me. Its my word against his and him being with the school gaming club forever I am sure people would side with him. And this isn’t about getting him in trouble or anything. I was merely pointing out that…

I wasn’t ganging up on anyone and my post was directed at everyone who is continuously harping this and every other topic into the ground.
yeah pokerstars is back tonight and he’s blocking again. I told heat! but I couldn’t remember if he’s admin or not. So if any admins are floating around the boards, please come check this out. steam id is STEAM_0:1:9584494 for future reference since he’s changing handles now.
You can always type in console:
say_team “@pokerstars is back and needs to be banned”
Which will send a message to all admins present in the server. Just don’t abuse that command.
Maybe it wasn’t the same guy but there was a player named that in-game tonight but he was playing fine. He was quiet and never acted up…I didn’t get his steamid.
