but for real, shields should be enabled for a week – see how it goes, see how awesome it is, see how burnt out u get on shields and the opponent using them against u and you will no longer want to play with them.

oh and shields should be allowed on the funmaps like as_crazytank

i haven’t any experience against shields on any flavor of counter-strike, but I know them well in Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. I like the satisfaction of blowing an enemy’s hand off with an arctic warfare and thus killing them. that being said, 1.6 and source aren’t set up for damage like that (or even the obvious target of someone’s arm showing from the elbow up), so i’d imagine it would be more difficult to kill them, so i’m voting no…

well shields do have disadvantages also. almost any gun other than a pistol can shoot through the shield doing less damage. the shield doesn’t help much if its not being fully wielded. if it is fully wielded the person can’t shoot and has a limited view. and if it isn’t being fully held it still haas a hugely smaller view, and you can only use pistols.

I think sheilds are fun. You rarly see them even before they were banned. When you did see them it was fun to be the person with the sheild trying to stay alive. Also to be the person waiting for them to walk and shooting there feet or baiting them and watching them get knifed to hell.
