I request that we do at least one thing different from last time? Repetitive lans arnt really that much fun.
Whats done is done, Nothing is changing it for this LAN. This has already been stated. MasterP is probably just worried about the slippery slope.
So my question is: For the next time voting goes around for consuls whats going to happen?
- Are the consuls going to just have their own meeting to decide the real votes? And at the general meeting they are taking votes for popular games to be voted on later on at their meeting?
- Are we going to just have the voting like we have alsways have at the general meeting for the consul games.
- or some other plan?
Prob best to talk this over with the consul P and see what they wont to do. but we cant not be having this voting things twice again.
and hopefully no more
so we are only doing one map?
in the past we have alsways done 3-4maps, not sure if you knew that or not?

We take them for granted. most schools dont have such an active club as western. Their are people from all over wonting to attend our LAN events and be an active part of this club. I believe we have dont a hell of a job with the clubs mission attracting perspective students to western.

i know i’m missing a handfull yet, just making a point that their are several people you can ask, and see if its “worth” the trip.

One issue that lies is their is no constitutional position of consul P and VP, or any rule set on how they operate. Thus people are unsure how the “power” system ranking should be. as it is now, knowone is in the wrong, as their are no rules. “officially”.
My question is what is the difference between a consul council leader, and a consul president? i totally just confused myself

Congrats to Major, And a big thank you for the ones that applied. We did receive a number of very well written statements from the community. Their are alot of people around the still really care for the 1.6 server. It is far from dead, just needs to build the community and a group of regulars back.

Depending how many people show. and pending the number of laptops. the MP power grid is set up so each outlet is on its own circuit. you can easly do a PC and a laptop on out wall outlet. their are about 8 in the MP room. For food i’d say stick to the caferteria, or everyone pitch in and get a pizza’s. Getting funding for everything takes time. and the club all ready uses more than our allotted shair of the ResLife funds, not to sure they will give us more for a ~10person event.
and as far as networking i dobut we need any big swiches, they have a few wall ethernet outlets in the MP room, we need like 2 or 3 6 ppl hub/switch and we would be set. but as nickname said. he can take care of all that much better than i can. The only problem i can forsee is funding for the room. I think your best bet is to get a studdy room booked in one of the dorms. they are free.
also you can look into holding a computer lab in like belk. i dont think they charged for them. This is where we held our first few LAN’s when the club was only 30people wide
kappa, indeed you have been getting shafted. But you are correct, both times i’v been put on a team with 4 good players. it was not fun at all. Even thouh my team won it was not fun. We steamrolled 2 of the teams, and only one team had a chance, and a small one at that. No way have i though the past ways we have done them were remotely fair.
I dont see how we can go wrong by assigning random teams (of which ever way yall wont) but before they are set in stone, each team should agree that their team is as fair as the other teams. (or as much as possible) And if its not their can be some swapping around till we get it just right. When each team agrees they have a fair squad theirs noting really more to say but GG.
