Keep in mind that regardless of how many people we may have, the university only cares about students and alumni for the purpose of event funding and advertising clout.
This has nothing to do with how good a member you are or how much you’ve contributed. It’s simply university rules.
I’m just saying that if lag and choke is a problem now it will only get worse when your gameplay depends on 50% more traffic from the server.

100tick would actually increase your lag and choke, not decrease.
And as discussed in the last few posts, we can’t increase it to 100 tick without killing at least 1 other server. I don’t have the power to do that.

Working for a single good company for 40 years is an engineer’s dream.
If it shows as not initialized then odds are your data’s gone unless you get it professionally done. You might be able to use R-studio to get it but it’s not very likely.

There’s a very specific process that an OS must go through to boot. The computer doesn’t see an OS and magically decide to start booting it. Linux is no different. Now if you want to split hairs and say linux doesn’t control the mbr or bootsector knowing full well that GRUB does then you’re essentially arguing to argue as linux is the only OS that uses it. It’d be like saying Microsoft BCD controls the boot process, not windows when you know *edited* well only Vista/Win2008/Win7 use it.

Avermedia makes a solid card but this is one area where you get exactly what you pay for. If you want a nice card you’re going to need to spend at least $100.

O btw, I’m talking about having linux NOT hardcoded into the bootsector or MBR. To my knowledge the methods used to boot linux from the vista loader still require linux be hardcoded into the bootsector. I have yet to see what you claim I don’t know about be done with XP’s bootloader.
Any word on when linux is going to get over themselves and write a windows compatible bootstrap that can be used in the xp/vista/win7 bootloader?
You know they can do it and from the outside looking in it looks like the only thing stopping them is their own pride. “Use our bootloader or you don’t use our OS”.
The game itself will run on any map, pretty much regardless of whether or not it’s broken. Once you load it on a dedicated server is when all the little bugs become issues.
