I think when I had XP/Vista I had to force it to run in D3D at really low resolution. When it used default settings it blue screened my computer.
Try turning off all the other garbage you have running like itunes and firefox and update your drivers for everything.

seriously. the more likely someone is to come to the meeting to vote the more likely a person will show up at the LAN. everyone can complain abotu not getting their game voted in because they live however many hours away. if they live that far away there is no way to guarantee they will show up. even with their word to many things from there to here can happen to make them not show up. however people already on campus are far more likely to show up.
You need a history lesson on why this club was founded and why we’ve been given so much money from Reslife over the years.
Seems like none of the new members have a clue what the club’s objective is. It’s not to simply play video games, that’s for *edited* sure. If you want to know where “just to play the video games we like” will get you take a look at ASU’s high entry fees and NCSU’s zero support from the university.

Use the search button at the top, put “MasterP” as the author and “cat’s den” as the search string. Read every post it finds for why doing an event there is a terrible idea.

All in wonders don’t have video input anymore and havent for a while. Even way back they could never do both simultaneously. Unless 1 FPS ingame was ok…
The map continues until one team captures all CPs. This is hard but possible. Most servers are set up exactly like ours in that regard and it usually works pretty well.
The dying in spawn is a map thing if I’m not mistaken.
Even the best TV capture cards for PC are very low quality and very CPU intensive. The quality is fine for the likes of youtube but anything higher than 480i is not common and definately isn’t possible when playing and recording on the same machine.
Seriously, just buy FRAPS. Even if you want a TV tuner you can’t get decent ones locally so you’re going to have to buy online anyway.

When done correctly Valve doesn’t know you’re doing it. When a complete moron sets it up Valve resets your stats.
Tbh it’s not hard and idk how people keep screwing it up and getting their players’ stats cleared. Like Merrill said, there’s on a slight difference.
Unless you can tell me how that works I can’t tell you whether or not the same thing will work with PCs.

Most of them do run badly on my laptop.
My desktop is at home, so I play PC more during the summer. I don’t crave PC games enough to upgrade my laptop or haul my desktop to campus.
I’m going to be back on campus in a week or so. Hit me up some time and I’ll get your laptop running like a champ.

You console players on the other hand HAVE stacked the votes for PC games on multiple occassions to directly sabotage the PC side, then bragged about doing it. That’s right, you bragged about voting in bull*edited* games. If it’s stacked votes you fear, take a good look at who you hang out with because they’re the only ones who have ever done it. And by ever I mean since the club was founded.
I do thank you for at least admitting that you’re putting console games on PC because you simply want to play more console fighters, not because it’ll attract PC gamers. It’s more honesty than we’ll ever get out of the president but hey that’s what we’ve come to expect.
Btw, since you’re a PC gamer, post your steamid so we can see what games you like to play and how often you play them.

Capture cards don’t capture video from your computer, at all.
And wtf are you talking about with PS3/XBOX?
How we use coal and how they use it are entirely different. Sure they toss it in and burn it just the same but the emissions from a coal plant are significantly cleaner. If you’ve never been in a modern coal plant you really don’t know how they work.
…Then again you also don’t know just how much coal they use. It’s an insanely, ridiculously high amount. Like you see how many tons they use and you’re like “so that much per week or month” and they reply “oh no no that much per day”. This is why nuclear plants need to be cheap and easy for companies to build and take about 20 years less to get approvals for.
Fun Fact: Coal plants have a 20% variation on power output based on outside temperature. On cold days 10% less than rated, on hot days 10% more.
What about them? They won’t capture video from your computer and decent ones cost twice as much as FRAPS.
