ParticipantAny decent car can have muscle when you need it. Pretty much any 200+ HP engine will perform well enough to allow pro driving skills to compensate for the other 200 HP.

No thanks, I’d really rather not.

ParticipantDon’t think that going the speed limit is my bag but don’t think I’m going to pay out the *edited* to be able to go over it more. I’m content with my intrepid, although I’d be more content if my cruise control worked <_>
1-6 over is gold
6-10 is ok
11-15 is risky
15+ is stupid
Btw, while we’re on cars, any takers on how long it’ll take America to realize that diesel engines outperform hybrids, get better gas mileage than hybrids, are cheaper than hybrids, and have a much higher crash-survival rate than hybrids? Oh and by the way, the fuel is cheaper (usually) and easier to produce and if green if your thing you can buy or make your own biodiesel.
I mean gasoline is probably the most retarded invention ever, designed solely as a permanent cash cow. All other types of fuel can be made in your back yard.

ParticipantIn the thread under this. He changed it after realizing the thread was from last year.
MasterP
ParticipantYou’ve already had a complaint from a freshman about it…
MasterP
ParticipantMeh. All muscle cars stupid because the fastest speed limit in America is 80mph. Now if you used to live in Montana I could certainly understand having one, otherwise it’s a complete waste of money both in the short and long term.

Nope, it’s run by a completely different set of people who only care about profits. They’re owned by an investment management company in Singapore.
Seriously, CPL and CAL will never be run by people who care about quality of gameplay because they’re both corporate entities. No matter how you look at it, at the end of the day there’s a bottom line on a financial report somewhere and if the ink isn’t black it can’t bode well for gamers.
so wait. youre telling me that a corporation only cares about money, and that they could care less about the quality of the product that they are offering, so long as it makes them money?
MasterP you are sounding like a big ole L-I-B-E-R-A-LOL
That’s not what I said, at all.
I said companies run such ways are why gaming leagues generally aren’t successful.

I don’t think the club has access to free copies anymore unless you through the printshop on ResLife’s dime which takes 1-2 weeks, if not longer

ResLife has alsways payed for 250 flyers. Never had we had to get the monies prior. We have just told the print shop to bill ResLife under “Gaming Club”. If something has changed Talllageese needs to call Keith ASAP to make sure this is still a go. If it is we then need to get in touch with Raven to edit the flyers with date/time info.
Nothing has changed. I was simply saying that the printshop takes longer to make the fliers than we have left before the LAN so we’ll have to get the fliers by another means which will probably cost monies.
BEAUTIFUL MONIES!

as the warrenty issue goes im sure they give you there own. Id actually be shocked if they didnt. I didnt read that exact article as I found it somewhere else earlier in the day but I wanted to show yall and that was the first one that came up so i dunno if they address the warrenty or not.
It comes with a 1 year warranty. Like everything else, you have to pay more to increase it. The problem is that most liquid cooling systems that aren’t set up properly break at around 14-16 months.

4 video cards is pointless right now because only 1 motherboard on the market has the capability to go x16x16x16x16, all the others are x16x16x8x8 or lower. That motherboard also has stability issues while SLI’ing even 2 cards so yeah.
SLI can’t utilize 4 cards efficiently enough that the 8x slots would be a bottleneck. Which should indicate that 4x sli is a waste of $/power
I actually hadn’t even considered this. Good call.
MasterP
ParticipantI mean I was like 19 when I played in CAL but most of the other people on my team were 14-16 <_>
MasterP
ParticipantI mean you could easily integrate an XBOX360 slim into any dual-width case. This is really nothing special.

I won’t even go in to the liquid cooling setup. A system that large is not only expensive and stupid, it’s also dangerous. The larger a liquid cooling system is, the more likely you are to have a point of failure. ANY leak and you lose the processor(s), motherboard, video card(s), and your XBOX, none of which have manufacturer warranties that cover the modifications Origin does.
I think it’s odd though that they’d go through so much trouble to do all that and then not liquid cool the RAM. Unstable RAM is the bane of overclockers’ existence and liquid cooling it is drastically cheaper than cooling video cards.

ParticipantIf you want something like this we can toss the deathrun mod on a CSS server.
It’s easily more fun than this.

MasterP
ParticipantIf they haven’t been sent to the printshop yet it’s highly unlikely you’ll get them before the event.
Keep in mind that you have to give these to the RDs to put up and that takes a couple days by itself. If you want to have them up for a few days before the event you need to turn them in to the RDs by Friday. Not to be overly negative here but you’re running out of time.

Man I’d love to believe that if history hadn’t proved it so unlikely

Btw, Pirahna is the real winner in all of this. They’re co-developers in this and and the new Mech game. They’re sitting on a royalty gold mine.

I actually compiled the changes today, and have it in a word DOC for who ever can update this for me

The best way would be to create a thread in exec discussion and post it as an attachment.
Tallgeese said:
Also SGA does have the new constitution already.
Did I mention just how out of date the one they used to have was? lol
Glad to hear this is getting done. In many ways it’s more important for SGA to have the updated copy than the website

MasterP
ParticipantThe problem with CAL was that the admins in most of the divisions encouraged cheating by never investigating complaints. The last CSS team I played for a few years back played a team that was obviously wallhacking and when we put in a complaint the admins closed it the next day and actually issued a warning to our team
The Battlefield series was rampant with it and the CSS brackets were pretty bad too.
MasterP
ParticipantI smell impending win. I’ll help.

stop picking apart everything that anyone does just so you can rage about it.

Now, if you are going to try and start an argument on here Mitch, please get your facts straight before doing so, this is getting old.
I’m not trying to start an argument here I’m simply running on the facts as they were posted for everyone online. Both of you know that I don’t start arguments and rage if you did morally right thing so instead of assuming I’m trying to do something you know I don’t do go check to make sure all the facts were posted.
If you had posted what the actual constitutional revisions said I wouldn’t have said a word about it because how you worded it was more than fair. I asked before, twice actually, what the changes were and got no reply.
Let’s make a deal, ok? Every time you guys change the constitution, please post the updated version so more than just the execs knows what it says. So many of our recent problems stemmed from having multiple versions floating around and that happened because changes and revisions weren’t posted here. When *edited* hit the fan in March we were operating on 4 different versions; we’re at 2 now let’s get it back down to 1.
Also, make sure that SGA and our advisors have copies of the new version.

then why has it been down for a couple weeks? It’s a 5 min fix at most.
I don’t have access to the server. If I did then yeah it’d be a 5 minute fix, otherwise it’s an ongoing issue. It’ll get done this week.
