ParticipantI mean you could easily integrate an XBOX360 slim into any dual-width case. This is really nothing special.
4 video cards is pointless right now because only 1 motherboard on the market has the capability to go x16x16x16x16, all the others are x16x16x8x8 or lower. That motherboard also has stability issues while SLI’ing even 2 cards so yeah.
I won’t even go in to the liquid cooling setup. A system that large is not only expensive and stupid, it’s also dangerous. The larger a liquid cooling system is, the more likely you are to have a point of failure. ANY leak and you lose the processor(s), motherboard, video card(s), and your XBOX, none of which have manufacturer warranties that cover the modifications Origin does.
I think it’s odd though that they’d go through so much trouble to do all that and then not liquid cool the RAM. Unstable RAM is the bane of overclockers’ existence and liquid cooling it is drastically cheaper than cooling video cards.

ParticipantBut its still cool imo. I mean realisticly why would you wanna but an xbox in your pc and hell if i wanna spend upwards of 4 months of house payments on it sure but I mean its be a cool thing to have right just for the hell of it if money were no issue. Pointless yes but cool none the less as far as the warrenty issue goes im sure they give you there own. Id actually be shocked if they didnt. I didnt read that exact article as I found it somewhere else earlier in the day but I wanted to show yall and that was the first one that came up so i dunno if they address the warrenty or not.

SLI can’t utilize 4 cards efficiently enough that the 8x slots would be a bottleneck. Which should indicate that 4x sli is a waste of $/power

It comes with a 1 year warranty. Like everything else, you have to pay more to increase it. The problem is that most liquid cooling systems that aren’t set up properly break at around 14-16 months.

I actually hadn’t even considered this. Good call.

ParticipantMeh. All muscle cars stupid because the fastest speed limit in America is 80mph. Now if you used to live in Montana I could certainly understand having one, otherwise it’s a complete waste of money both in the short and long term.

Speed limits are only there if you get caught and aside from that there are alot of private race tracks and i gotta say there is nothing more fun then being on said race tracks. Some people like computers some people like to gamble me im a car guy what can i say.

ParticipantDon’t think that going the speed limit is my bag but don’t think I’m going to pay out the *edited* to be able to go over it more. I’m content with my intrepid, although I’d be more content if my cruise control worked <_>
1-6 over is gold
6-10 is ok
11-15 is risky
15+ is stupid
Btw, while we’re on cars, any takers on how long it’ll take America to realize that diesel engines outperform hybrids, get better gas mileage than hybrids, are cheaper than hybrids, and have a much higher crash-survival rate than hybrids? Oh and by the way, the fuel is cheaper (usually) and easier to produce and if green if your thing you can buy or make your own biodiesel.
I mean gasoline is probably the most retarded invention ever, designed solely as a permanent cash cow. All other types of fuel can be made in your back yard.

I completely agree and I own one of those stupid hybrids lol. Last time I was in France, my cousin drove us around in minivan made by ford. It ran on diesel and this thing got 65 km to the liter easy going up a freaking mountain. <——WHY CAN’T WE HAVE THIS HERE?!
Alas, I just ran out of my warranty, and surprise surprise I had to replace a part. 499 dollars went bye bye cause of a coolant pump. My foot would probably be deeper down my throat if I bought the car brand new, but as it turns out, I got a bad *edited* deal on my Mercury Mariner Hybrid. It was in the family already and i got it refinanced at $18,500 left on the pay stub. 30 mpg on the hwy (26 in city) is pretty good for a SUV (granted it’ll taking me 12-15 years to see any kind of savings, but it’s convenient to not have to fill up every day).
A vehicle that uses biodiesel is definitely next on my list tho. Hopefully they come out with a DeLorean DMC-12 that really does run on garbage. that would be sweet.

I would definitely not consider a Ferrari a muscle car. More like exotic or supercar. Also, it’s not always about going fast. I get my jollies off of fast acceleration in my 98 firebird formula, although certainly slow acceleration compared to a ferrari. Also, it’s about having the power there when you need it. It’s ten times easier to merge into traffic or pass someone on a two lane highway when you have 400 horses backing you up as opposed to whatever hp hybrids make.
September 11, 2010 at 2:30 pm #105218MasterP
ParticipantAny decent car can have muscle when you need it. Pretty much any 200+ HP engine will perform well enough to allow pro driving skills to compensate for the other 200 HP.

ParticipantAlso something to add, diesel in general provides better torque than even gasoline
a good article on this subject:
