FYI, the LAN has been pushed back to Dec 8th. We also voted to stop doing memberships, so a membership is not necessary.
And I uninstalled 1.6. That game sucks so friggin bad. Flakes saw me play today and saw how *edited*ty 1.*edited* is. So to make up for the time that I waste in CS, I will now beat Opposing Force. It is superior to CS.

Scout is an overpowered piece of *edited* class. UGH…I remember when it took skill to play scout. Now you just mow people down with the double barrel and the bat.

There are a few very excellent custom maps out there already, ctf_mach2 is a good cap map, similar yet different to 2fort. cp_wolfe is a very very good attack/defend map it’s based off a wolfenstein 3d map, there are a few others out there, but i think these are the only two really worth putting on a server right now. We REALLY need to work on a schema that puts less computers on each surge protector and drop cord. Otherwise we are going to start a fire with those cords soon.
You have to understand that it’s semi out of my hands at this point. I may possibly be able to refund that money based on what I’m being told. I’m not saying that the donations were a waste of time, in fact the fact that we raised so much money in such a short amount of time really let the higher ups know what we had created here with the club.
So here is what is currently happening. A dual dual core Xeon server is being allocated for use by either the Gaming Club or by ResNet/Student Computing. What this means is that one side will keep Tron (our current server) and the other will get the Xeon box. If we are moved to the new box, that money will probably go to RAM upgrades for that server. If not, the money will go to upgrading Tron to dual or possibly Quad core Opterons. If we keep Tron, Residential Living will MOST LIKELY pay for the new processors. This means that you get to have all your money back. If not, I will allow you to elect for a refund (you can PM me to stay annoynmous) or you can elect to let us use your funds for upgrades to the server (much needed). Right now we are still in the paperwork phase for getting the new box transfered to one of the two involved parties.

Can I see them sometime? I’m trying to decide on a new headset for myself and I’m iffy on those that I gave away at last lan.
I just emailed Stephen. We’ll see if it’s possible or not. I know it’s possible but is it possible to get the higher ups to say yes?.
