Stop attaching bitmap files, you lazy *edited*s. You’re wasting space, and firefox on linux can’t even display them.
EDIT: *edited* it, bmp files aren’t allowed as attachment files anymore. Learn to use jpg/png, plox!

I have been playing CS for 4-5 years. And I’ve moved on.
It should be. Make the sniper rifles inaccurate as hell unless you’re laying down and unable to move, it would make the game so much more fair.
I’m getting far more pressure for a DoD:S server than DoD here at WCU. We definitely can’t have both. Also, I don’t like HL1 games due to technical issues (think all the *edited* that happens in 1.6 server that I can’t do anything about).

Don’t hate on the Elites, man. They’ll kick your *edited*, assuming they don’t get headshotted first.
You underestimate the stupidity involved here. Also, most people probably won’t have a team ahead of time and will just be looking for someone random to pair up with.
People have a hard enough time using the registration as it is, and the questions are *edited* simple. No way people can coordinate a team.

I second ‘cheater free society’.
If we can get 8 set up, then running two rounds simultaneously, or even 4 with split-screen would be awesome if it is well-coordinated.
You can double-bounce from the wheel on Zanzibar, I found that out by accident. Can’t repeat it now, though… it’s somewhere back towards the base on the elevated platform (where rockets are) but not quite as far as you can jump.
We’re running 4-5 tournaments. None of them can overlap very much, because we want everyone to be able to play in ALL of them. If you want real tournaments, you’re going to have to pick and choose which.
It would also get a lot of false positives, and restrict our players to absurdly high standards for a school in Western NC…
We tried to squeeze far too many tournaments into one day. We really need to cut it down to 5 at most. I know the hardcore fans are going to hate this, but we need to pick one of CS:Source and CS 1.6, because we can’t give full time to both and still have time for different things. Keep in mind this is not a professional tournament; it’s all for the fun, not the wins.
I would suggest CS:Source, Quake III (for the fun, old-school feel), Halo 2, DOD:Source, and Unreal Tournament 2004. Maybe a Gears tournament could run during other PC tourneys to keep the console-only gamers busy.
Part of it is figuring how much time each game needs. We haven’t done a scheduled thing before, so it kind of porked up pretty badly. You certainly won’t get enough time for say, 50 kills / 2 maps double elimination, but you could get away with 25 kills / 5 minutes double elimination with a little more time (and by getting the brackets/teams ready waaay ahead of time).
The machine is perfectly capable of handling source at 100tics. The problem comes when a VM on the machine has a CPU spike.
