I hate to say it, but tron just can’t take CS:S at 100 tics.

    Quick analysis of CPU usage:

    • Call of Duty 2
      Runtime: 755min
      Kernel + User time: 20min
      Average CPU usage: 2.65%
    • CS 1.6
      Runtime: 3360min
      Kernel + User time: 929min
      Average CPU usage: 27.65%
    • CS:Source
      Runtime: 560min
      Kernel + User time: 231.5min
      Average CPU usage: 41.34%

Possible solutions: move to aphrodite, cut maxplayers, cut ticrate.

I say cut maxplayers or move to the *edited*. 100tic is a perk I’m sure a lot of us would like to keep, and when people notice 100tic they will come back as well.

Besides, we never have over 24 people unless D2 ;P

Even at 24 things get a bit questionable. I’m going to consider moving.

Leave a copy of it on Tron and test out Aphrodite. Let’s hope for the best, cause I kinda like the 100 tic.

Yeah i vote lowering max player, client side lag gets wonky for me at least because my computer isn’t powerful enough to power a small solar system unlike yalls beasts.

Lowering the player count isn’t going to fix anything. CS:S is not the problem.

    Explain?

The machine is perfectly capable of handling source at 100tics. The problem comes when a VM on the machine has a CPU spike.
