So, MLG announced a stop at Charlotte in April. Is there any chance that I can get at least a partial sponsorship to go? I’ll wear any and all kinds of gear to advertise. Really, I will. I’ll wear a bumpersticker on my forehead if I have to. Just as long as I can go.
I’m trying to find a team now. I know plenty of players across the state who have connections. I’ve played with the NC Pros like Fossik and Thrash a couple times. Not many but few. So I’m bound to get a team. The club can sponsor just 1 player if they wish.. or if they want to get a team from campus to go, then go for it. I just want some funding to go.
Well, I’m going to a major event, that might be televised on public cable, and definitely broadcasted on the internet as well as be before a mass majority of NC high school kids. I’d be advertising Western and the gaming club itself to guys that are obviously into gaming and possibly seeking a college in their own state with interests in gaming and what not. And yes I would be willing to wear anything that specifically had Western Carolina or even the Gaming club on it and mention it to any and all gamers who approach me. Basically, I’m a walking advertisement with possibly the highest maximum exposure to a majority of the console community. Plus, what if I beat Carbon and/or Final Boss? (I wish). I’d credit it all to Western. Oh yeah.
umm that would be a task. i would try to team with you but i already have a team for that MLG event. This is going to be the *edited*…oooo yea
Yeah.. well I may and try to team up with Crav3n. He goes to NCSU and he goes a bunch of the guys there. Heck, maybe he can get us Saiyan.

lol and i belive you were playing for about five hours while i ws running around trying to get all the *edited* set up….and this 2v2 will show you… let me actually practice and this time it will be different
if we were going as a WCU thats one thing, but you should rep us because you are a part of us. I dont think the club has the money to fund something of this nature.
Oh well, I tried. Again, I’m accepting donations for the Spartan’s Purse, aka Help Oh Malley go to MLG Charlotte ’07 on an individual basis. And I’m serious about wearing a lot of masking tape with a lot of people’s names on it.
Still trying to get a team together for this? I’m really interested in it, plus I have friends at UNCC we could stay with to save on hotel costs- I just don’t know if I’m good enough to contribute to a team on the MLG level.
