As you may know at E3 FF14 was reveiled as an exclusive to PS3 to be released sometime in 2010. It will be like FF11 in the fact it will be a MMORPG. Getting rid of that would cause less people to play classes like white mages b/c people have nothing to fear when dying.

and dampiere looks like he’ll be fun to play. I cant WAIT to try both of these characters out!

Well this summer Im building a gaming PC so I kinda want to try out pc gaming for a while. and yea if I play console games at future LANs it will probably only be like SF4 and maybe one shooter, not everything like I have in the past. I know I had a lot of fun. I can’t wait till the next LAN. Going to have to redeem myself in Soul Calibur IV. I still think its funny that SFIV had the worst attendance at this LAN but had the highest at the last one. lol. I guess people saw how broken the game was.

Just stating an opinion here that can probably start off a whole new thread.. but something just to think about for the president as he continues his term. If we continue outsourcing club positions, when does the club stop being a university organization and just making the two divisions of PC and console even further apart?Yea, I would really prefer if we could find someone on campus that could do this so that person could help us spread the word about our PC Gaming side.
And I know this may seem random, but to be honest, there is one game that I have been DYING to play on PC and that is L4D. Yea, I would love to get a chance to play that sometime next semester, it looks bad *edited*

About the PC stuff, I am kind of worried about the future if the PC side of the club. Not many people have showed interest in wanting to fulfill the task of being PC VP except one person (Josrocket) and thats pretty much it. I am sorry that I do not do alot on the servers like play games with you guys but I am kind of illitereate when it comes to playing PC games. But I will do my damndest to try to find someone (if josh doesnt want to do it when the time comes).
As far as expanding our PC side fo the club, sadly, alot of people just have shown no interest in it. Me, EYCE, Felix, and ARCH put up TONS of fliers in Scott and Walker and we ran into some some peopel asking us about the LAN. And unfortunatley, the only question people were asking was “Its not going to just be PC is it?”. I do want to try to make more people on campus be more excited about the PC side of the club, but its going to be hard to do. Maybe Ill try to pay a little more attention to the PC side this LAN to see what really draws the peeps in.
As far as money goes, we seem to be doing ok right now. And about the payapal account, if the info for it isnt sent to me by Monday, Im just going to use my paypal account and use the money out of the box to pay our old friend Liam back.
I havent been on the forums lately because, as some of you guys may know, I have been battling it out with the school over food but THANK GOD, I fixed it today (YAY!). I will try to be on here more next semester and a little bit over the summer. I will be looking over this thread some mroe later because as of right now, I am running the saturday LAN over at Central. Thanks everyone for the feedback and I will address more of the issues presented here later since I am kind of busy right now lol.

Anyways I would like to get a group picture of all of us at the next LAN as kinda the “WCU Gaming Class of 2009” group; would make a good pic on the homepage.
What do you all think? Did I miss anybody?
Also, looking at that list, all those ppl graduating are totally pro.
I think that picture is a great idea, it wouldl look good on the home page.

Soul Calibur IV
Best 2 out of 3 matches (3 out of 5 for finals/semi-finals), 3 lives per match, 60 second time limit
First stage is random, first characters are double blind; after the first match, the format is
Loser chooses stage -> Winner chooses character -> Loser chooses character
Custom and Bonus characters are banned, for issues with hitboxes.
Street Fighter IV
Best of 5 Rounds
Best of 2 matches (Best of 3 matches in semi-finals and finals)
Time Limit: 99 secs.
Random Stage Selection.
Characters Banned: Seth.

We will be fine without it, everyone knows what needs to be done (and even if they dont, I posted it on the forums) and there are only really things left to do:
-Put up the rest of the fliers (will try to do either today or friday, at the latest)
-Run the Gaming desks (will be done next monday through friday)
-Go prize shopping for the games that do not have prizes (will be done this weekend)

Adam, go with your first revision and, if it is possible, put somewhere on the sign up page that the times could be subject to change, just in case a tournament goes over.

yes the schedule is final. And Adam, if you could go ahead and put up the registration page, that would be nice since we have already started putting up advertisements.
