1. New people showed up to meetings
2. More people showed up to LANs
and
3. We haven’t lost even MORE pc people.
You did a good job.
If not, those should be your focus. The more people on campus that know about us the more the word can spread and we can successfully fulfill the mission statement of spreading that word outside of campus.

ParticipantAgreed.

ParticipantI might be biased but I think you did a great job.

ParticipantNot being a WCU student it is hard to comment on your performance as an individual. That being said I think you are doing a good job. There are a few areas the server/club as a whole could work on, but they are topics for another thread

ParticipantThe first LAN was extraordinarily succesful and we actually have marketing this semester. While this is the work of multiple executives, I’d say you have the right to gloat.
Next semester, on top of what we are already doing, I’d like to see more of a concentration on populating the servers, getting more PC sponsors, and taking over the Relay for Life events. As I’ve said once or twice, these are essentially mini-LANs with cover charges. We could get an easy twenty people with a week of marketing and maybe a gaming table.

ParticipantYou are doing a great job, I would suggest getting your finances in order though.

ParticipantAgreed with Kuros, and Bitey advise, also your doing a good job and a huge step up for not being trained.
However things can always be be improved I would suggest to whomever the candidates are for next term’s elections:
Must hold your execs accountable. Many times (not just in your term) the ball has been dropped on tasks. I would strongly advise to “Assign Tasks” to execs, and follow up with them on a regular basis. Not just “can someone do this”. This way everyone is not like i though so-n-so was doing it… and it end up not getting done, or getting done but 4 months late.
The thing I though you did the best was meetings. We only had 4 meetings in 08′, we’ve had like 4 in the first 2 months of 09′.. Hella Great. Good job, and I would be happy to re-elect you Kaz.

ParticipantMore time on the forums/IRC
Who cares if you have a life… we don’t have one and it would be nice to see you more.

Participantreally major I hope you are joking around(which you probably are) but in reality a large portion of the time he spends “not on the forums” is devoted to gaining resources for the club and battling to get what we want and need.

He’s done a helluva job getting things done, but I just would like to see him more so I can harass him.

This is probably pomething Kaz-ka has never seen as it was discussed entirely with the previous administration and never put in place by them. Springing it on him now is a little unfair IMO.
But to be honest, we’ve got alot more financial oversight in place now than we had under Bitey and I’m not sure such a system is even needed.

ParticipantAbout the PC stuff, I am kind of worried about the future if the PC side of the club. Not many people have showed interest in wanting to fulfill the task of being PC VP except one person (Josrocket) and thats pretty much it. I am sorry that I do not do alot on the servers like play games with you guys but I am kind of illitereate when it comes to playing PC games. But I will do my damndest to try to find someone (if josh doesnt want to do it when the time comes).
As far as expanding our PC side fo the club, sadly, alot of people just have shown no interest in it. Me, EYCE, Felix, and ARCH put up TONS of fliers in Scott and Walker and we ran into some some peopel asking us about the LAN. And unfortunatley, the only question people were asking was “Its not going to just be PC is it?”. I do want to try to make more people on campus be more excited about the PC side of the club, but its going to be hard to do. Maybe Ill try to pay a little more attention to the PC side this LAN to see what really draws the peeps in.
As far as money goes, we seem to be doing ok right now. And about the payapal account, if the info for it isnt sent to me by Monday, Im just going to use my paypal account and use the money out of the box to pay our old friend Liam back.
I havent been on the forums lately because, as some of you guys may know, I have been battling it out with the school over food but THANK GOD, I fixed it today (YAY!). I will try to be on here more next semester and a little bit over the summer. I will be looking over this thread some mroe later because as of right now, I am running the saturday LAN over at Central. Thanks everyone for the feedback and I will address more of the issues presented here later since I am kind of busy right now lol.

ParticipantJust my 2 cents.. Focus on on campus PC recruitment. It seems at the moment, we do a lot for console gamers ON campus whereas we offer more for PC gamers online. How we do that.. I don’t know. Just something to think about.

Still waiting on login info from you guys.I don’t have the information you need, Chris does, so as has been stated before you need to get it from him. It is a very touchy topic because of all the bull*edited* that he had to go through to get it working correctly as well as very privately, what you guys need is a bank account of your own to put on it. If you cannot provide a bank account then Chris will take his bank account off of it and the money will be lost.

ParticipantKaz-Ka, you have done a great job and we couldn’t ask for a more devoted, responsible person to be the club’s president. I applaud your efforts to keep the PC gaming community going but it’s not your fault if everyone wants to play console games…
April 26, 2009 at 12:26 pm #82592Lemm
ParticipantYeah I don’t go to WCU but as far as I’ve seen you’ve been doing a good job. Plus I got another wiimote out of it for cheap!
If PC section is dying mebbe see if u can expand to previous execs that have graduated… I know kip has done a great job.. I think that might require altering to the constitution and some other access issues but well it’s just a suggestion.

ParticipantI don’t expect my words to be taken seriously anymore, but for what it’s worth, I think you’re doing a great job from what I’ve seen. Even when I was banned, I was around, and keeping up with the club (although the Liam situation flew right by me). I don’t keep up with the behind-the-scenes stuff like I used to back in the day, but apart from that, you seem well liked among the consensus of the club, and you seem like a nice enough guy. Plus, the club’s better than its been in the past year or two (no offense to anyone, maybe it’s just a season thing, I don’t know). Great job man:)
On a side note. Bring back CoD4. If popularity is the issue, nobody can populate a CoD based server like me. Just sayin.

If we continue outsourcing club positions, when does the club stop being a university organization and just making the two divisions of PC and console even further apart?

And I know this may seem random, but to be honest, there is one game that I have been DYING to play on PC and that is L4D. Yea, I would love to get a chance to play that sometime next semester, it looks bad *edited*
And thanks for all of the support and things that can be improved on everyone. I really appreciate it.
