Maybe we should start putting up fliers that say “Join the WCU Gaming Club! Visit wcugaming.org! PC and Console Games!” Something like that. No dates necessary. Just letting people know we are around. Bringing back those gaming desks we used to hold before each LAN might be a good idea too.
I feel a little bit concerned that most of the club’s up-and-comers are console gamers. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for expanding the console side of the club, but I don’t see many up-and-coming PC gamers. We shouldn’t let the PC gaming side fall apart.
I played a little of it. The game is fun, although I wish there were more obscure characters. I’d love to see Ambush Bug fighting Detective Chimp. Or maybe Grodd the Super Gorilla vs. Dr. Light.
I’m honestly considering a run for Console VP. Looks like this meeting is going to be rather…
unpredictable. (cue dramatic fanfare)

If I HAD printed flyers we would have had a bunch of people show up and no meeting. Yeah, that would have been productive.Then what needs to happen is we should get meeting dates set in stone long before the actual date. Then we will have time to print out some basic fliers with dates that are not subject to change. Really, we only need to do it once a semester to get some new faces at the meetings.

I ran into a few people at the Cat’s Den who were *edited*ed because they thought the meeting was now at the Central MP Room and actually showed up. We should have had the meeting already and need to hurry up. For that matter, we need to start advertising the meetings. We are one of the only clubs I know of that barely ever puts up fliers for meetings. Early each semester, we should advertise the first meeting. That’s how you get new members.

#7: Imagine what products would be advertised in such a magazine.

Cute. I thought it was funny just how dramatic the reporter got at the end of the video. It was like he thought he was making an important social statement or something.
Alright. After doing a little reasearch, I think I see what has happened. Ziff Davis sold EGM and 1UP.com to UGO, who immediately cancelled EGM and fired about fifty people from 1UP.com so they can completely rework it. I can understand EGM getting cancelled, because gaming magazines are a dieing medium, but fifty people getting fired from a successful site is just unspakable. Screw you, Ziff Davis and screw you, UGO.
