im not even gonna go into all the things that are wrong with what you said…i dont have time for this….if you want to be stupid then so be it…and do some research before you start explaining why things are the way they are…like MGS4 and everything else…why do you argue things you dont understand and know absolutly nothing about. That’s not the best argument deflection I’ve ever seen but it’s certainly not the worst. You can’t prop something up and then call someone stupid and run away from the discussion when they point out otherwise. It’s not how this argument/debate thing is supposed to work.

ParticipantMitch are you kidding me? The only game I hear people still talking about for the 360 is Gears of War II and Fable II, thats it! So to say that the 360 is so much better than the PS3 is an understatement! Over the past few months for the PS3 however, people have been playing LittleBigPlanet, MGS4, and Resistance 2. So to say their lineup is lacking compared to the 360, come on, that’s an insane statement. And to even try to compare the Wii to either the 360 or PS3 is sad. Have you read reviews on MANY of these Wii games that make it so much better? Well to put it shortly, Nintendo has, as of late, been trying to garner to the casual gamer, and in the process, been making mostly *edited* games. I mean hell, I own a Wii but I play my PS3 more because the gaming selection is so much better. And this proves that comparing the sales of a system to how well it is compared to others is a bull*edited* argument.

ParticipantI still see plenty of people playing Halo 3, Call of Duty 4 and Call of Duty: World at War, as well as Left 4 Dead. People may only be talking about GoW and Fable as of late due to the latest updates on those titles. Gears of War 2 is getting a title update to fix all the glitches that cripple its multiplayer and Fable II just had an expansion DLC release. Plus in our neck of the woods, namely the tF guys, we’ve got a solid group of people still playing NCAA Football ’09. Plus there’s always Rock Band and Guitar Hero, but again, with the exception of H3 and L4D, the other games are found on PS3 as well.
Honestly, I say the systems are fairly equal. It’s just a matter of which one satisfies your needs / wants with the fewest sacrifices.

I try to keep up with the Console War but from what I’ve been seeing until recently the *good* exclusive releases have been pretty one sided. They may have as many or more good ones now but how long did they go without any at all?

I won’t even try to defend it gameplay wise because it’s only had about a dozen games that are worth the disc they’re burned on. You have to admit though, for as garbage as the games are, they seem to be doing something right to still be the top seller. You can mock it for marketing to casual gamers all you want but until they can get another batch of good games out it’s the only smart way to stay in business.

Best post in this whole *edited* threadty. In my opinion, it’s true. I choose 360 because it fits my needs. I don’t mind paying for on-line play. I love it, therefore I pay for it. I’m mainly an FPS guy, so I prefer the 360 style controllers because it feels natural and comfortable to me. Plus it’s got 2 big name franchises exclusive to it that are shooters. The Netflix is a bonus. So I like it. I don’t own a PS3 because I feel it’s out of my budget, I have no real need for a blu-ray player, and right now, none of the exclusive games really interest me. As far as the Wii goes, there’s maybe 3 or 4 games that I’m interested in, but I wouldn’t play for more than a month. The 360 fits me rather well.
I’m sure the PS3 fits others better than me and the same goes for the Wii. As far as LAN stuff goes, I pick what’s hot in the competitive world and choose platforms based on what I know is available and on-hand as far as our usual LAN-goers own.
There’s no need for a *edited*ing contest on saying “X is better than Y.”
