CacophonyParticipantOh, wow. Congratulations Shane!
CacophonyParticipantXchat is much nicer to use. So, I’d recommend giving that a go.
CacophonyParticipantFirst, have you already checked out this thread?
CacophonyParticipantOh no. The dorm bathroom. Usually the light is always on in there. Always. But not this time. And it’s spring break so there really isnt anyone here…
CacophonyParticipantWell, he’ll still be missed as President. Not to say you won’t do just as good or better. Good luck, Bitey!
CacophonyParticipantYou will be missed. I think you did well.
*salutes*
CacophonyParticipantI just might be going crazy here. Someone turned off the light in the bathroom and there shouldnt be anyone here…
CacophonyParticipantnnnnooooOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
I’m eating ravioli. Take that spaghetti monster.

u have to be a real nerd like me to get that one
Sad thing is, that’s the only one I really laughed at.
CacophonyParticipantFrom what experience I have playing on Live, teams is always the most fun. So, 3v3 or 4v4.
CacophonyParticipantTo avoid the problem Ephraim mentioned you could re-take attendance at the LAN and form teams through that. I think 3v3 or 4v4 is a fun idea though.

But the GBA, DS, and PSP existed at the same time, Square’s involvment with Sony didn’t stop them from rereleasing the first six FF game on Nintendo’s handhelds (admitedly, I and II were also rereleased for the PSP).True, true. I still consider them flagship developers though, despite them having a hand in both major companies pockets (Poor 360 seems mostly left out of the Japanese developer alliances, though that seems to be changing). And bah, Sega is a non entity now. Nintendo only tries to be nice and allow them to maintain their identity.

CacophonyParticipantThe only thing that seems to trigger some sort of deeply buried wild homicidal tendency in me is the sound of certain alarm clocks. They are cruel, cruel mechanisms. I am mostly thankful (It’s still obnoxious) my cell phone blares music at me instead of the classic alarm clock beeping.
Quote:
*edited* i wake up 10 mins before my alarm clock goes off everyday to avoid it.Unless I’m really tired, I tend to do the same thing.

The first six Final Fantasies and first six Dragon Warriors were all originally on Nintendo consoles.True, only the Sony Playstation didnt even exist yet (or in the case of the later games, it had just been released). That’s not exactly fair. Same for the early Metal Gear games.

I see the point you’re making. I just think more credit should be given to both Third Party developers considering the incredible success they’ve enjoyed and given Sony on the various Playstation incarnations. They spread their talent around, sure, but more often than not they’re playing in the Sony camp.

New news. Or at least old news, this time from Konami’s mouth:

Quote:
KONAMI DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT REVEALS DETAILS FOR METAL GEAR SOLID®4: GUNS OF THE PATRIOTSEL SEGUNDO, CA – February 28, 2008 – Following opening remarks made during the General Session at the 2008 Destination PlayStation retailer event in Scottsdale AZ, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. confirmed several new initiatives related to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, including a North American street date, online multiplayer, and pre-sell program.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the final chapter in the saga of Solid Snake which sends him around the world in pursuit of his arch nemesis, Liquid Ocelot. Armed with new gadgets and abilities, Solid Snake must shift the tides of war into his favor, using the chaos of the battlefield to infiltrate deep into enemy territory. In his globetrotting final mission, Snake must sneak deep into enemy locations in the Middle East, South America, and other corners of the Earth to foil Liquid Ocelot’s plans for total world domination.
Street Date
Opening remarks revealed that the final chapter in the saga of super spy Solid Snake is expected to arrive in stores in North America on Thursday June 12th, 2008. “Blockbuster events and premieres are a tradition of the summer,” said Kazumi Kitaue, Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. Chairman and CEO. “We anticipate that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots fits that bill perfectly, and consumers will be waiting in line to get their copy of the game just like it’s a hit Hollywood movie.”
Metal Gear Online Starter Pack
It was also confirmed today that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will launch with the Metal Gear Online “Starter Pack” supporting online gameplay. In addition to the single player experience, gamers will also be able to take the action online with up to 16 players and battle it out using the latest weapons and stealth techniques.
Pre-Sell Program
Beginning April 2008, consumers that pre-order Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will receive the Metal Gear Saga 2.0 DVD, containing a Prologue that recaps the Metal Gear franchise, a 20th Anniversary retrospective, character bios for Big Boss, Liquid Snake, Solidus Snake, and Solid Snake, plus a collection of international trailers of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. This pre-order package also contains an insert with a download code and special instructions for accessing the Metal Gear Online beta test when it goes live in late April. This special pre-order package will only be available while supplies last.
CacophonyParticipantOh, I know very well that Squenix produces for other systems, particularly Nintendo. One can’t deny they’ve been close friends with Sony for a long time though. Final Fantasy and Sony are practically synonymous for most gamers. After all, all major/numbered Final Fantasy titles are on the Sony consoles not to mention a host of non Final Fantasy rpgs/adventures/whatever else they’ve cooked up with rpg elements. Squenix is a major player for Sony, and I’m more than willing to consider them flagship, even these days.
CacophonyParticipantQuote:
Konami is a third party developerSo is Squenix, but it’s still considered a flagship developer for Sony. Konami is no different. While they may release games on other consoles, they still have extreme loyalty to Sony and its systems. Whether that will change with the current generation remains to be seen, I think. Especially since Kojima himself has made no mention of wanting to do a port of 4.
CacophonyParticipantWell, they tried it once with the first version of MGS2:Substance and it kind of sucked. The XBox could barely handle the fact that it was raining on the first level and the controls were absolute bollocks.
So, unless they were going to try real hard, I’d rather see it stay on the Playstation as well.

Dirka dirka. Dirka.Sorry Richard… I’m a lvl 70 terrorist.
NOOOOOOO! I’ve been directly supporting terrorism with silk and item donations. I’ll see you all in Guantanamo, I guess.
CacophonyParticipant
CacophonyParticipantAw, fare thee well, Dave Thomas.
CacophonyParticipantIt’s awesome on the PC, but I first played the console version.
So, I would love to see it. You’d have my support.
CacophonyParticipant
CacophonyParticipantAh, you’ve gotta love Monty Python.

CacophonyParticipantI don’t know what you mean. Why, just today when flying over Elwynn I saw in the voice chat: dirka dirka. dirka dirka.
Actually, I’m serious (That’s pretty much a direct quote). But, I doubt it was terrorist activity.
Of course this is a silly idea.
CacophonyParticipantBoo creepy 360 TF2. It is inferior. You do not get delightful patches and fixes in the same manner as us glorious PC users.
CacophonyParticipant
CacophonyParticipantOoo, all this new blood means more Team Fortress 2 players!
Glad to have you guys.
CacophonyParticipantWe’ve had a few projected release dates. Hopefully this one is for real this time.
I won’t get it. No PS3. My friend who has one better! I need more MGS!
CacophonyParticipant
AAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

CacophonyParticipantI’ll be chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool. Probably tryin’ to shoot some b-ball outside the school.
But seriously, I’ll be here. Playing lots of video games, reading lots of books, watching lots of movies, and sleeping.
