If you want I can post a demo with showimpacts on to show that the accuracy does not change and in some cases actually goes up when you jump. I would have been more comfortable at .9 but many of the other admins had wanted it lower than .8 even, it was a compromise and I really doubt it will affect very many people.
Funny thing there zoso, the awp actually got raised on the point modifier scale because I wanted it to be a part of the pub again. Next time you bring up a point know what you are talking about.
Actually pink as I suggested at the last meeting we probably will be having SourceTV covering it so the rest of the community can watch, not the Opening round, but at least the quarter, sem, and finals. We are probably going to have enough people that we will have two parallel opening rounds this year, I don’t think we would be able to do sourceTV on both at the same time.
Aye, if anything I think we should be having these discussions, just with a bit less personal polemics, not only will we be able to hear each others arguments a bit clearer it makes the whole environment nicer to be in. On that same account I know I should probably be doing some apoligizing, not say this should be a love fest either though
Aye, I have to agree with Liam there, I’m of the suspicion that when it comes to balancing issues, it shouldn’t exactly be left up to the community, not every single person in the community is going to come to the issue with the welfare of the whole in mind.

Why the *edited* yall keep bashing him, he is just a voice who differs from you and being that no one in the history of the world has ever been right a 100% of the time why are we being so *edited* hostile to someone who is making suggestions for what he sees as the benefit of the community. He isn’t Hitler telling the Weimar Republic that its democracy is corrupt, evil, and base. He is one of us who appreciates the community. I don’t think he is right most of the time, but *edited* why even have a forums if we aren’t going to at least appreciate the spirit by which they operate, that of discussing things. Cut him some slack please.
EDIT: as to what renton said, no I don’t think he personally deserves any criticism, but his ideas and suggestions sure do.
Yeah I really don’t see much of a problem except late at night, for someone every once in a while teams will get stacked like they used to and then it will start to even itself out.
It is a tad annoying, I’m not all that upset over it. IRC does seem to be less about chatting and more about trivia games lately.
Aye, this kinda goes back to the music being played on the server. While me and kuros have no problem with it, the population of the server is reacting against it, just because a few old timers want it does that mean it has to be? Just trying to keep a progressive and consistent outlook here.
I know bitey, but I think that is the point for them, if you don’t take the game so serious bs kills are actually kind of funny, moreso when you are pulling them off yourself.
yeah, the 2 people who solely used to use it were renton and zoso, they did it because they had a lot of fun, then a few more people started emulating them because it is fun. By that same measure I like to awp now and then because it is fun to stop someone dead in their tracks and imagine then slapping their fist down as I do every now and then. I imagine it is the same for them.
Hmmm, we tried that before bitey, it got kinda dead fast, but we didnt ahve as strong of a community. I don’t think many people stay a long time for the stats rather the community, but it gets people in here initially before they are able to make friends.
I don’t see how a shotgun is anymore beneficial here, the only time you will ever get a multi kill with it is on people who hesitate and deserve it.
I have no problem restoring the modifer for those guns to something reasonable, making it where you could get no more than 6, 7, maybe 8 points for those guns. I think you are entirely responsible for who you kill and how you die in this game.
In addition, I don’t see how you can say renton of all people is here only for the points, vast majority of the community knows him and knows that aint the case.
EDIT again, if you do the math on the stats page, 8000 kills with the m3 shotgun out o 177000 kills comes out to about 4.8 percent. Taking over the server with half the players using it every single map? *edited*ing hardly.
Christ final edit, people don’t only use the shotgun to get easy kills and points, they do it precisely because others get *edited*ed off and they will tell you that it is fun to use and funny to see someone with an absolutely amazing gun like the ak get waxed by a piece of *edited* like the pump.
yeah, I said he could play no scrubs and mario music for a short while after the round was over, as bracket and his whining can attest I have never said he could play those whole way through. Admins more senior than I have told him he could play it all the way through and on other songs as well.
I have to agree with him here, put the point modifier back to normal, you don’t see fRod, HeatoN using the pump shotty? It’s not that great of a gun. I mean why even have a point system if we are going to disparage it? Who cares what gun he uses? What I think is really at work here is people resenting getting killed by suck a *edited*ty weapon.

Indeed, the flash was fairly long and it was TWO kills, first one, then someone else made a kill inbetween you and your next kill.
