I sold my pally 2 months prior to WOTLK for $700. Granted, I had some of the best gear in the game at the time. If you need any selling tips, I also sold my 2 friends accounts for them for $700 and $750 respectively. I wish I could show you the MS word document that I created to list all my gear/stuff/awesomeness, but my hard drive died. It was basically 5 pages long tho.
I like this idea. I see people who are online at the bottom of the page, and it would be nice to be able to say hello without having to pm or steam message them. As long as there is some option to disable it, I don’t see the harm

I think the argument to the zero second buy time is similar to the bunny hopping rule. Our server is a pub, and the people that play here are not cal-m monsters that have scripts or can buy in their sleep. We are trying to look out for every caliber of player, and if that means not allowing bunny hopping for various reasons, or giving people 3-4 seconds to buy, then so be it. We are advocating a fun play environment (with the attempt at objectives of course) and we don’t want people have more advantages than others.That is certainly a fair counter-argument yahoo, and the sort of discussion i was hoping to evoke by my response. First, he never stated that he can buy in zero time (as that WOULD be impossible without a script). What I inferred is that he can buy relatively faster than most other people on the server. One could make the argument (and I play devil’s advocate here), that the ability to buy quickly can be likened to a skill or ability, the possession of which merits some reward (i.e. increased ability to rush). I can’t think of any map (except perhaps in some instances dust2) where this would allow someone to kill somebody as they buy (particularly if it were a 3 or 4 second timer), but it WOULD allow them to position themselves in a more advantageous location on account of their superior buying ability.
Again, I play devil’s advocate on this, not so suggest a zero buy time is the right solution, but only to point out that questioning somebody’s intentions in the manner that was done, may not be the best way to instigate productive discussion on the matter.
There are probably other possible explanations (And I would love to hear them), such as simply not wanting to wait 2 or 3 extra seconds every round). Anyway, I will keep thinking of ideas, and I hope other’s will also contribute (you could also argue that a long buy time gives an additional advantage to the team with more money to spend – that is, the winning team).
Ex, you know I don’t engage in personal attacks, and please don’t take my response to be that. We both want whats best for WCU and the server, but we can have legitimate differences about policy and what have you, and still do that.

I voted for 4 seconds only because I usually have to wait a couple seconds after I am done buying (and am really impatient). I appreciate a good rush, but I think a buy time is important (although I wouldn’t mind ours being a second or two shorter).

I think the kicker should kick Citan after a certain amount of time regardless of if he is akf or in spec or not. Something like, say, 30 seconds sounds about long enough.

2. When possible RAID5. You get fast striping and parity all in one super nifty bundle. (Requires 3 drives and you get the space of the smallest drive x2).
3. Defragment often. It keeps big files together and helps the OS queue them in HDD cache.
4. Drives with larger caches are faster
5. More RPMs=much quicker read and write times.
So basically, a Raid5 array of 3 7200 (or more) rpm SATA drives with 16mb or better cache that you frequently defragment will give you about the best performance you are going to see from your drives. My computer scored 5.9 on Windows Experience Index for hard drives. See appropriate thread in Hardware for details.
Hmmm, i’m really just debating building a new computer; Not sure if I could justify quite yet. Still a better video card/dual core/bigger drivers would be nice.
