Action: Request a ChangeStatement: As a regular on the cs:s server, I think it is weird that admins can just sit in Spec and take up slots. There are a lot of admins, and most are very active and assertive, so is it necessary for admins to just sit in Spec, round after round, map after map, for hours, and not do anything. Cause its pretty apparent that they are not doing anything.

It’s possible that they aren’t doing anything if they are just sitting there for hours, but quite often they are speccing players.

we cant kick admin sitting in spec b/c they may be afk, or they may be doing their job taking demos.

But srly, admins dont sit in spec for more than a few rounds if your not watching anyone. Thanks

AFK kick ignores admins in spec, maybe everyone in spec I’m not really sure.

 

Tbh, this isn’t really a problem often enough to worry about.

I always thought the afk kicker should kick even an admin after a certain amount of time, you know to prevent the whole “so-n-so kicked me from the server when i was afk for 10 seconds”

Not to mention freeing up the slots. If more than one admin is afk in spec (or even other people, if the afk kicker doesn’t kick specs at all), those slots could be used for players who are gonna play.

well for me if I’m in spec im helping some one that is in the server threw steam chat and as the server is a 25 man that extra spot if im not wrong was added to give a reserved slot for the admins to be able to enter the server . We could give all admin reserved slot and as a admin join a person would be kicked due to the reserved slot . And i really don’t think its that big of a problem just because you don’t see a admin doing anything doesn’t mean hes afk . And as its 25 man server if a admin is in spec atleast the team sizes are even with 12 on each side how do you think the admins fill when its done by non admins .

We as admins need to be in spec sometimes to do our job. We do kick others that are in spec if after one round they do not join up. We are not allowed to use our powers against other admins anyways so kicking them would be breaking the rules for us. This has happened so few times though its not really that big of a problem. I think the longest I have ever waited to get into the server was maybe 5 min top.

I’ve always just asked the admin over admin chat whether or not they are speccing someone.. i normally ask a couple times before i just go ahead and kick them…

I think the kicker should kick Citan after a certain amount of time regardless of if he is akf or in spec or not. Something like, say, 30 seconds sounds about long enough.
