ParticipantYes this study would count as one. But he can only participate if you do not tell him about what you did (in detail).
Sorry I have replied sooner. I have not been on these forums in quite a while.
You can tell anyone you would like about this study that you believe would be interested in participating.
Akuzan
ParticipantFor the two or so of you that are interested would you be able to do it at 6:00 pm on Wednesday the 23rd (this Wednesday)?
Akuzan
ParticipantIf you have any friends that would like to participate please let me know. Email me and we can get you on the schedule if you are truly interested (tmdennie1@catamount.wcu.edu).

Akuzan
ParticipantOverall all it was pretty fun. We need more teams to come next time.
Akuzan
ParticipantI finally beat it. It is well worth 1200 points. It will take quite a while to beat. Great game but VERY frustrating!
Akuzan
ParticipantI enjoyed playing this game. I got 200 gamerscore in it in a few days but overall it was fun. By the ending it looks like they will bring out some DLC soon.
100% complete !
Akuzan
ParticipantThat sounds interesting
Akuzan
ParticipantI will see what I can do.

ParticipantI know the pc side has done it for a while but you can’t run pc and console the same way. A fair amount of people who come to the lans to play console just show up out of the blue or come to play with friends. The vast majority of the pc individuals probably own the games they are going to be playing and I may be mistaken but instead of a team winning in the pc games you base who goes on by how they did individually. In halo it takes a number of shots to kill someone so someone could possibly leave a game with 0 kills and 20 assists and not move on. But as I assume how it will be run as you get one group of two place them with another and then play. Halo is a team game and splitting everyone up is kind of odd and does not make much since seeing as no one has really given a reason why apart from it will help the new people… If someone gives a sound reason then this might work but as of now its just an odd idea of which I have never heard of being done with a console game such as halo.

ParticipantPersonally I like that you are looking outside of the box for new ideas but why change something that has almost always worked. I know some change may make things better but from a lot of experience at lans this idea of randomizing or semi-randomizing will not be very fun. Some groups of two will have great partners that know how to play and do well and others that don’t won an xbox and are just playing to pass the time. How is that fair? Also as mentioned by others, what happens when someone or all of the other half of your team doesn’t show up or other various problems. When you play with friends you can be assured that many of these problems will not happen. Also as you can see most if not all of the players that are opposing this actually play in the halo tournaments and have for many years. Also as previously stated I will not come to the lan and I know of a few others that will also nnot come to the lan if halo and such are set up this way. But again I do enjoy that you are looking for better ways to make this fun for all but personally I do not think this is the right way. I speak only for the Halo side but from what I have played of COD the random or even half random teams would be more painful then fun.

ParticipantYes as previously stated, why change what works? Also the idea of random teams is horrible. I don’t know of very many people who would come to the tournament if they knew it was going to be random teams. At least for me I know for a fact that I will not come to the lan if the teams are going to be random. As for the other settings such as mlg or not I don’t care. But 4v4 random teams?…..no.

ParticipantOk gotcha gotcha. Just wondering.
Akuzan
ParticipantModern Warfare 2 is coming out in November and Halo ODST is overall, a campaign expansion. It has campaign and firefight on one disc and Halo 3 multiplayer on the other. So unless you want to be playing campaign at the LAN you are essentially going to play Halo 3 with a selection of more multiplayer maps.
Also I don’t care either way about default or MLG as it seems a great majority of the tournaments are default. I was just wondering why you are leaning towards not having MLG.
Akuzan
Participantwell because you have a low level in MLG. they always quit when you are a low level. also get those two to play sometime casey and I want to play them
Akuzan
Participantwell that sounds good man. I think Casey and I would like to play those guys and see just how good they are

Akuzan
ParticipantWell still into it all Google? Keep playing and you will get alot better.
Akuzan
ParticipantWell you can use MLG rules and have starting weapon battle rifle and secondary be assault rifle. Not to be mean or *edited*y but those who get in the finals and such will probably not be the ones who were asking for assault rifles. Though sadly it was that way when I play the App 2v2, lol.
Akuzan
ParticipantI am sure someone will answer you back. But as far as I know there are quite a few people on campus who play but most play either for fun or already have a team. But I go to App State and used to play halo 3 a lot, mlg events and such, but if you would like to play sometime just add me.

Participantwow….just wow
Akuzan
ParticipantExile or whoever. Get the console people to come and vote in games that will bring in people. So basically make sure goldeneye will not take the place of a game that could bring in 2x the people.
Also about the prizes. I don’t come to the lans for prizes, I come to have some competition. So the paper prizes would be ok but some people only come to the lans so they can win prizes. Maybe there should (as other people have stated) be a separate part for the most competitive players. But hey ask the community and see what they want to do. Maybe at the next lan have a short survey or something asking what they would like to add/take away from the lans. Those that post on the forums most always go to the lans but the majority of people that show up (for the console side anyway) do not post on here very much and in most cases not at all. So I believe the best way to know what would be best is to ask the people that come to it. This can just give some feedback as to what “outsiders” think of the lans and the gaming club as a whole.

ParticipantIs this little thing happening
Akuzan
Participantme and Casey will be there
Akuzan
Participantah well it just seemed you were able to do the z moves quite easily and somewhat spammable and when I play it just annoying the z moves sometime do feel like woking.

Eh, no one cares about Halo remember? It didn’t get voted in.I know no one cares they would rather play halo then come to the meeting. Goldeneye would not have gotten in if anyone still played it. But hey SF IV is fun.
Akuzan
ParticipantSeeing all those no scopes and those positive 30 Kd ratios will, lol.
Akuzan
ParticipantAny one else going to this 2v2?
Akuzan
ParticipantDo it Casey do it, I have Daylon’s number if you need it.
Akuzan
ParticipantThey only played smash at the app lan so in definition it wasn’t really a console lan, it was a smash tournament…
