Add me for left 4 dead. I have stopped playing competitively so left 4 dead is right up my alley.

So far I know of three or so teams coming from Asheborro, 3 to 4 teams from app consisting of people that I know and many many more will be attending also.
It will be MLG 4v4.

Put fliers up in high traffic areas. I am not sure if you can do this but put them in places were people have to look. Placing them on the message boards in dorms or on the walls of random buildings will not do too much. Many of the people who come to the lan’s come by word of mouth, not fliers. So if you are not able to place fliers up then just spread the word.
overall very fun but halo was pretty late but hey it was still fun. halo had a small turnout but it was till pretty fun. Someone came up to me during the halo 3 tourney and talked about how his friend could win the tourney with just himself and 2 randoms. I laughed. But my point is that there are more people who play halo and other games on campus but they might not know about the LAN’s.
Exile you should go to the meetings and get involved if you want it to be “mlg esque”. I never went to any of the meetings because about maybe 10 people came to the halo tounaments when I first started them but since then it has grown. Well to whoever is running it , “Do work son!”. Also Exile is my partner lol.
They don’t call themselves pros…I know the guy that one. He is by no means a PRO I know the best SSBM player in NC and he is the best person I have ever seen and no one at the LAN could hold a candle to him… much like me against Final Boss.
MasterP….I played halo 2….one of the biggest glitch fest games ever I know what it feels like so don’t assume that I have never played against people that only get kills or play with glitches. Most of them are fairly close to instant kills in h2 or give you a very great advantage in killing multiple people while almost being dead.
None of the SSBM glitches will give you instant or semi-instant kills. They give you an advantage but not a severe one.
There were not any “pros” at the smash tourney. Also all of the competitive section of smash bros uses glitches and if brawl has some they will be used there as well. Most of them take skill and for the most part those players would have done well without using them and from what I saw there were very few glitches used, Wave dashing being the main one which isn’t as bad as halo two was with bxr, double shot, bxb and so on. So calm down its just a game. Also overall alot of people come to lans to have fun but others come to have good competition. Don’t get mad at someone for wanting to be challenged.
I will play you. My team didn’t lose a match during the tourney but the win was given to us bec of time restrictions. Anyway add Its Bever. It will be fun.
It would not be a disadvantage if you are able to no scope him or sneak around and kill with the short range but generally if you have a sniper and a rocket or shot gun the person with the br will win if he can consistently 4 shot. But if you play smart you can kill most people with most any weapon
They are only going to have COD 4 and those other odd ones like rock band but I dont own COD 4 and the people I am playing with own it but hey we will see how this goes lol. The next lan at App after the upcoming one will have Halo 3. If you come to that one then we will ahve some real fun. But yes the COD 4 tourney is 4v4 but they have not announced any specifics yet.
I didn’t transfer to App because of Halo…
I wanted to go to App from the start but i got put on a waiting list.
I never intended to go to Western.
So when I had the chance to go to App I took it.
Just because I enjoy playing Halo at App and I have friends there who play doesnt mean I transferred there for that specific reason.
But hey have fun Oh Malley I was posting in this forum because not a whole lot happened while I was at Western not alot of Western has changed. But if you ever want to have competition come to App for the 4v4 tournament next semester but keep holding onto grudges because at this point it pointless. Yes i used to act like a jerk and the halo tournies I ran sucked but hey I would much rather play then host so w/e. Have fun and I hope Western’s gaming grows and so they can come up to App and we will see what youve got.
