alright, i’ll wait for him to chime in.
Also, can you set alltalk to default to off at the start of all new maps (except fun maps). That way, if an admin sets alltalk on and something happens and he leaves the game, alltalk isn’t stuck on forever.
I don’t know how complicated of a task this is but I thought I’d ask as I find it important.
Is there a way to edit the maps that RTV chooses from? For instance, you play d2 and the server changes to inferno. When you get to inferno a few additional people join the server and the vote gets rocked. D2 pops back up in rock the vote and the server plays d2 twice in a row. ANNOYED GOOSE.
Is there a way to remove say, the last 2 or 3 maps from rock the vote?

Sorry about the confusing with alltalk. I meant that for any map, when there are like 4 people in the server it is nice to have alltalk turned on so you can make it a more social environment. Once the game gets more serious I completely agree that alltalk is terrible.
I’m gonna throw out there that you may want to throw like, NEW SERVER, or something that portrays that for the 1.6 server name. For whatever reason people have, they always find a need to *edited* about a servers registry. If people know there is a new server it may draw in a bigger crowd.
Some people say a better mouse will make you game better. I really have no idea. I have used razor products because they look nice and are generally good quality. I’m using a Razor Lachesis now and I’m a big fan. If you watch woot for a while you can normally get an awesome deal on a razor mouse.
I mean, as long as you don’t have a miniature laptop mouse I’d assume you’re okay, hehe.
I have to start pricing tv’s and finding one in like a 32-40 range. I may not have enough cash to put down though

Bam! I remember last year when the server would always be full. There would be a large mass of us sitting and spamming the middle pillars. I find it HILARIOUS!
I’m still not settled on one! I looked into a bunch of sennheiser sets. I want a circumaural set, and the only one they offer is like $170 (not doing that). They list their lower models as circumaural on newegg, but that isn’t correct as they do not sit around your ears.

Bought a razer lachesis from a wootoff for $30. That is one off my list! My plan: buy a pair of headphones with points2shop money since it’s free. Next step, buy WD Black 1TB hard drive with money from swagbucks ($25 earned in 2 weeks so far, ETA for purchase: 6 weeks). Next step, get speakers for some event (ie. Christmas).
So, there! Not sure what headset I’m going to order. I want them to sit over my ears and not on top of them. I really liked the steelseries I had, but the point where they broke was VERY thin plastic. I may want a more durable set.
I use logmein. While their free edition isn’t that advanced, their pro version is. I’m content with the free version, though.

I have like 90 bucks to spend from points2shop since the beginning of summer. I WAS going to buy a hard drive with it but I may just have to buy headphones instead. Granted they will be free, it is still disappointing that I couldn’t get the hard drive instead.

It sucks because the set I broke was like $80 (a gift from the girlfriend). I emailed them to see if they have replacements parts but I seriously doubt that they do.
I had a few pairs of midline sennheisers and the mic died on 2 pairs. It was sad.

Heh, I’m a little clueless about this. Does this mean you’d have to install windows xp first, and then upgrade to this?
And follow up- how does the upgrade work? (meaning how do you go about installing it?). If I format my hd, would this enable me to install 7 fresh?
I know you can check the server list externally but I find it handy to do it in game. I feel like that redirect hurts more than helps.
