well i do have windows on it. Currently dual booting. I want to fully convert. Superior only because programs are writtin for it. More and more companies, though, are starting to write for linux as well. The open-source attitude is the reason why i converted.
Hey hey hey! Well, with school I can’t be a started, sadly. I could definitely sub in, though. I also could play a summer league if you guys were all still interested come spring. I also could help fund this server. I’m not the best nor the worst. Most of you have played with me. Some scrimming xp, but no real cal stuff. But, I’m game to sub!

How many kids on your campus?Well I must add my inquiries are nothing to be taken away from Western. I am just curious on how to get something like this to happen at my school, the college of new jersey that is. We have about 4 thousand people living on campus and with these 4 thousand all we have is a 63 Mbps connection symmetrical. With that being said it is not even enough on some bad nights and some people aren’t even able to sign on to AIM. To starts something like this at my school would be close to impossible in my eyes being that our college internet would need to be highly upgraded in order to supply a server which can hold people connecting into it. As new jersey had a giant budget cut last year there is not much money floating around campus to supply us with support on upgrading. This past school year we went from 48 Mbps to 63Mbps (In their eyes that is a big jump, in the comp nerd eyes its pathetic. To break it down we always have a 170 kb cap on our asses and at night time when everyone is using the internet we are limitted by the total bandwidth to about 25 kb. I know what you are thinking…EW.) The only way to do this would be to raise a ton of money, which again is pretty tough. But again, I’m not attempting to take anything away from wcu. I’m a lazy kid and the last kid to start anything like this at my school. I just get curious on how a feat like this was accomplished. All in all, though, it would be pretty cool to be like adam and others and be god of a college server and to be the founder of something this badass. So this is both an inquiry and some serious props to you kids at WCU. Go you guys
How many meg is your internet connection and how many on your campus?

WELL THAT SEEMS LIKE A PRETTY BADASS MACHINE. I don’t necessarily want a server, I am just getting curious about it. I also have began scrimming and know it would be much easier to get a server, but wouldnt mind a half way decent one. My college would never let us host a server on our internet. How did you go about persuading wcu to let you do it and who sponsored the machine?
So than are decent servers very expensive cuz it seems many servers out there really suck. What is a low or high tickrate. You say higher is better but on what scale? I have no idea if 50 if high or 50000 is and again what is low?
I’m not sure of the cause, I always thought it was just one of those many pleasant steam glitches. If restarting doesn’t fix it you completely log yourself out of steam and sign back in and it’s fixed.
i like all these points a lot. I feel that a variation of rotations would give a nice twist to the game while still making known maps played. In the event that someone recommends a new map into the rotation there is always room for a custom map in the middle of the cycle of amazing maps. All in all, I am all for variations of cycles (go RED!)
well i stopped playing for about a month, but i have all three campaigns with characters capable of just about any run needed, so pm me as well

second though, maybe a rotation that changes weekly or something to spice things up, that is, if we are afraid of voting
