In a server where admins kick and ban so freely, there’s no need for VK/VB. Go figure, it’ll just let those morons who are truly that, morons, abuse people who are better than they are. ZOMGHEHAX. No he doesn’t. He just knows how to aim. I congratulate you guys on throwing around more and more ideas to ruin the server. As I obviously can’t play here anymore due to some stupid decisions made by those who are “higher ups”, and now as purely an outsider, good luck with that if you end up adding it. I’ll give it a week from its inception to the death of the server.

All you have to say is completely close minded, not thinking about the other side. It’s a trend I’ve been noticing in your posts lately. No matter what he does (for the most part), Obama WILL NOT be as bad a president as Bush was. Get a grip.
Sure, to some extent. Considering the fact that I can personally say I went from 0 to 3rd rank (cause I couldn’t pass Whoopsie and Elite God, who are both *edited*s), I loved killing people for those big losses when I started it up, but once you get to that high a rank you just say “Good God, this is pretty *edited* fun”.
I realize that Liam, and I’m not defending his whole rage fight with Ex. But what I’m saying is that you’d also be angry if that happened to you, and would want something done about it. He started off the thread alright, but then he and Ex just went at it. Cross out those posts and he’s got a pretty valid point.

screams to me of someone else saying something on voice. And you pointed out exactly the problem. There’s nothing you can do about people saying things on voice that aren’t heard, because they can’t be recorded (unless you decided to log all voice use on the server, and with that you’d run through a huge amount of hard drives faster than a dog eats it’s food.
Obviously, Ex can’t be “punished” for this. That would be *ridiculous* right? If evidence isn’t in the logs, it just isn’t in the logs. But that doesn’t mean that said admin can’t try harder to get a grasp on the entire situation in hand, rather than jump in midway. Because, lets be honest. If you’re playing and someone is talking *edited* to you over mic, sure you can mute them. But with alltalk the way it is, when you are dead the muting goes away and they can talk to you more. People know this. When they continue talking *edited* to you, goading you, calling you names, etc., eventually you’re going to snap. You’d expect an admin to do something about said *edited*. But instead of dishing out an even punishment, you get kicked because the admin tells you to “stfu”, and doesn’t even identify himself as an admin to start with. He’s *edited*ed. You would be too.
Look. This isn’t my place, considering how I’m waiting on a decision from the higher ups regarding myself, but as someone who WAS an admin (and hopefully will continue to be soon) and is part of the community I feel an obligation to respond, and I have to agree with Willis here. It’s completely ridiculous to tell someone “shut the *edited* up”, and when they don’t, you kick or mute them. If he’s saying there was crap going on before you got there, you have to realize what’s going on. Even then, after you took action on him, did you take any actions on people that were goading him while he was silenced? Doesn’t seem quite fair to me, if you get my gist.

As an admin in this community, we have an obligation to follow and enforce the rules. That means finding out exactly what is happening in a given situation before acting out with admin powers that may accomplish nothing but cause people to look badly at the server and it’s administration. You’ve been here long enough, actually I think longer than any other regular admin, to know what you should be doing in a given situation. From what it seems, you didn’t do *edited* to see what was going on. And unless Willis is lying, which I don’t think he is, you didn’t do what you should have.

Sorry this happened to you Willis. I’m sure that someone higher up will look through the logs, see exactly what happened, and take the necessary actions.

Sorry, but SK3 is perhaps the best map invented. I used to hate it and have since come around in a complete 360.
As for my .02: Get rid of beroth. It’s an awful map, there’s not actually a radar, and nobody knows it. Full teamswap on Italy and Nuke after half of the map. Add Tides or Russka, but not both (preferably Tides, it’s a great map and is very balanced).

The Krieg is the 552, not the autosniper. The autosnipers are just called autosnipers (or sometimes the 550/G3). No reason that the 552 should be restricted, it’s a fun weapon to play with, just like the AUG.
I think it’s a great idea. Tired of all of the morons who sit in one spot and literally keep a steady stream of auto-snipe bullets going at a doorway, it’s ridiculous.

The fact of the matter is, in fact, that people DO know what to do: avoiding mid and long A is common sense. There are those who will rush those spots every round anyways though, just in the hope that they get a better spawn point than those AWPers on the other side (Luckily for those AWPers, we don’t allow bunnyhopping, otherwise the better players would hop through long before the CT side could get there, but I digress.).
People wonder why they get shot while standing at corner with an AWP through the doors at Long A, claiming “I couldn’t see him, he walled me.” That is a GOOD player walling corner (and it doesn’t take much “skill” really to do this), perhaps the easiest way to get past those AWPers choking Long. More people should do it, actually, then those AWP “*edited*s” wouldn’t be up so close at Long A, they’d be back in site, a much easier place to kill them at.
But, as we’ve said before, not everyone in the server is “good”, “decent”, or “half decent”, so using better tactics won’t necessarily work.

There’s nothing wrong with restricting the AWPs available; it’s actually a good idea. But until it is determined after a significant period of playing time whether or not the server is effected, nobody really should have anything to argue about (thus, /rant, /thread). Everybody uses an AWP sometimes (except for #5, she’s only ever used a P90), it’s just something that is fun to do (“Oh, if I hit him once, he dies”). So really, let’s just drop this conversation NOW before people make too big a fool of themselves.
So-CaL, what you don’t realize is that on those servers, everyone is bad. All it takes here, on WCU, is for 2 half decent awpers to get their guns and they can hold an entire team. We all know it’s true, and by restricting it somewhat helps with the situation (only 1 good awper can have an AWP, and usually the person that buys the gun is a baddie). If people really start to leave because of this, then I’m sure it will be unrestricted, but seeing as that won’t happen…

On a side note, even if one person controls the AWP for 3 straight maps, doesn’t that just mean they’re really *edited* good? “AWP whoring” is just when tons of people buy them to buy them because they suck and need a 1 shot kill. They still die a ton though, perhaps even more than when rifling. Good AWPers will never die, they are just too good to be killed ^^
sk3 is, contrary to some people’s foolish misconceptions, a VERY popular map on the server. many people come in just to play it. at one point i wanted it gone, but after warming up to it, i love it. it will never leave. now, on the other hand, deagle5 can just gtfo if i had my way.
maybe you were whoring with a weapon that gives little skill, and getting skillfully killed by lesser weapons (aka you got raped).
server use won’t go down because of it. people pick up awps and use them because they get raped by them and want to have a way to fire back. then they realize that they can’t awp, and just try harder to actually shoot someone. it’s not that hard to pop around a corner and shoot an awper in the face. you get 30 shots, they get 1.
Some new maps would be cool (with the deletion of beroth), but definitely not de_tuscan. People don’t want to play 2 versions of mill. Strike is made as a 5v5 map. I don’t see how it could possibly work out with a full server, it’d be one huge cluster*edited*. Militia and Havana are god awful maps, and westwood isn’t great in Source. The only one on there I’d like to see in is Russka. It’s a great, big map with plenty of opportunity for both sides to win.
The reason that demos from any non admin can’t be used is because they could easily get a friend to go on under that person’s alias, use some hacks, take a demo, and submit it for a ban. Without an admin taking the demo, there’s no way to know if it’s really the right person or not. (This is what I believe is correct, right MasterP?)
