OK peeps, since 1.6keeps getting new(different) maps attempted lately, can we try some different maps for a while in the rotation while we have a nice population. I suggest maybe putting them right after a D2/Office/Inferno so that the population is nice and high when the odd map pops up…and if possible, only have these maps during peak hours…

Strike
maybe Havana for 10 min!?!?!?(cmon raine!!)
Militia
Westwood
Fire
Just throw a new map in there for *edited*s and giggles, I know I am sick of playing the same *edited* day in and day out…maybe others are as well…

Havana and Militia are room clearers, but I wouldnt complain about 10 minutes.

Maybe even some de_Tuscan, i know no one has it besides people in cal. But its a fun *edited* mill knockoff. It has the same basic structure as mill but they have some new areas that make me happy.
Some new maps would be cool (with the deletion of beroth), but definitely not de_tuscan. People don’t want to play 2 versions of mill. Strike is made as a 5v5 map. I don’t see how it could possibly work out with a full server, it’d be one huge cluster*edited*. Militia and Havana are god awful maps, and westwood isn’t great in Source. The only one on there I’d like to see in is Russka. It’s a great, big map with plenty of opportunity for both sides to win.
tuscan is not for cal people so cal its for cevo lol. I like all them maps i would also like to c some change in the maps.

Whatever, cal/cevo. same *edited* for all intents and purposes to getting my point across. And tuscan is TOTALLY different than Mill. It has the same layout and some similarities but besides that…its completely different and totally awesome x 1.34…

That will never happen…EVER…
sk3 is, contrary to some people’s foolish misconceptions, a VERY popular map on the server. many people come in just to play it. at one point i wanted it gone, but after warming up to it, i love it. it will never leave. now, on the other hand, deagle5 can just gtfo if i had my way.
We will NOT put a new, untested map directly after a server populating map. Maybe before but I will not risk killing the server and having to wait 2 hours before a populating map comes back up. That’s stupid and directly contrary to the map testing system that’s already in place.
Btw, if you want a poll that I’ll actually pay attention to please make both options non-demeaning. It seems that my selection means I need to play on a different server…
Russka, Strike, and Fire are weird maps that only about 1/3 of the people will know. I’m hesitant to try all at once because the outcome will be a dead server.
Havana and Militia will clear the server, does it every time. Since they are more known I would be most willing to give them a try but not for more than 10 minutes and not without a more unbiased vote.
I *WILL NOT* put *ANY* CAL/CEVO exclusive map on the rotation. Very few non league players will know the map and I won’t screw the larger percent of the community in favor of the smaller percent.
For the record, I never wanted Beroth on the rotation to begin with. Since it usually runs off a large chunk of the server it probably won’t be in the next rotation.
And for clarification, SK3 stays. I personally hate it but it brings in just as many as it runs off.
Official new map discussions will be held when we discuss and vote on the new mapcycle next week.
