Hello Im Joseph DeLong. I am the VP of Consoles and it is my hope to create a strong console section in the club. I also want to put more work into our original mission statement by getting more student to choose Western for their future education thus making the club stronger with new members.
Trying to find some stuff on the school website.Also tried looking at NC non-profit laws but not getting anything specific enough to help.
The link for fundraising just leads to university policies which is no help.

Well from my discussion back when we were trying to figure out the rules from magic tourneys and prizes. Magic was gambling bc you didnt know what the next card was, but the school classifies the tourney like halo, cod, tf2 as “games of skill”, but yeah ill look at that tonight so i dont have to wait on a response from school.
If we could id like to get a registration form put back up on the main page for lans like how it was a few years ago. With what games you plan on playing, and what equipment you can bring. Id even give a 2$ discount to those that bring a console, tv, one or both of the games going to be played on that console, and a controller. Id cover the difference in cost, and of course they would have to have their stuff there the whole time.
As far as the PC goes I mainly am just a Warcraft and LoL player. Use to play CoD MW, but mostly just play fps on the xbox now.

Bump the lan dates up a month each and its not L4D2 it SW:BF2, NFL Blitz is the other legacy, and Kazka has filled out the forms for both dates
ok ill make sure that is know at the meeting, btw what is wrong with the internet, in Benton i get kicked off of Warcraft atleast once and hour or multiple times in a row and its not just at peak time either.
I know we used to get them for free thats how it was when i was marketing in 07 but after my mandatory 1 semester break i got back and we were all of a sudden paying for them. Ill have daniel talk to keith about flyers and the posters. Ive also got information on mass school emails and putting a mini-flier in mailboxes today so going to check what the cost on the later would be. In addition i want to get table tents made, talk to the western carolinian about ad space, see if lmp will put up a slide during the previews of movies, talk to TV62 about a slide thing there, and posibly some sort of commercial which i think we have a youtube video somewhere but dont know the quality of it.
As far as A waffle’s design goes i would like to use them as posters just gotta get a price check from the print shop only thing i noticed missing(and thats bc i forgot to put it on mine

Smash Bros. Vote
A vote was held on which Smash Bros. game would be used for the tournament. The results:

Brawl – 11
Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Super Smash Bros. Melee will be hosted at LAN 2010.3.
Brawl won but says melee will be hosted think its a typo
I sent an email, went the following day asked if they were ready, he said come back in half an hour and they were done
They are pretty good about getting them back within 24 – 48hrs of sending in the email.

Well its a recycled flyer that had good turn out b4, im pretty sure it was no dices design originally. Sorry i cant eat, *edited* and sleep gaming club 24/7 guys im married and got personal *edited* going on back home. Done what I could in the time alloted i apologize for my short coming. Oh and to be an *edited* im really going to take advice from the guy who made his flyer in paint and had a spelling error. Tell me if im wrong by this but wasnt this our highest attended meeting ever, im sure by word of mouth, the cat fair, and various other actions this has been the most advertised meeting that i have ever been a part of.
It wasnt cliques pushing them into office, the executives that got elected into each of the offices have done it before, cept for felix which came to an actual vote between him and freezer. So it wasnt hey let me get my butt buddy as the *blank* it was hes done this position, he wants to do it, i nominate him.
Yeah they actually gave it to me rofl almost sporting full 277 now, our best attempt was 82% have only put like 1-2 attempts on him due to ppl now showing up really lame but it seems to happen all the time for the end of expansion end game. Also on beta right now, I wrote and essay for the 10 beta keys and it got picked which suprised me bc all my english papers were C+ at best.

IDK who the Marketing is those flyers will be used bc they had such a great response when they were posted as for everything else the first event has is pretty much taken care of as of the first weekend daniel was on campus. Got the room, the date, and pizza, just have to buy the drinks and pick the games.
Also with your post there Dice it was in between Presidents so think it kinda fell to the wayside. I do fully agree with you however and maybe we can start planning all this for our next meeting now make sure its kickass so on and so forth. All and all i think that would be a better enviroment for potential new members to attend.
lol wow first off dont post the flyer bc ill take a shot in the dark and assume you dont know it has to be approved first, unlike what mitch says if we say *edited* following the rules we will get in trouble. The *edited* flyer was a joke and if we posted it and is seen as vulgar well good bye club wether Keith is the main backer or not, bc well personally if i had a group of ppl going around posting *edited* and doing what ever they wanted id cut ties with them asap before they drag me down with them. As for the wcugaming.com yes we know about them, yes there was a table at catfair it was pretty much right in the center of the main walkway, we did get ppl to sign up blah blah blah. Best bet now is to go heavy word of mouth, Talgeese has also stated that he will be getting a table set up in Scott/Walker lobbys.
Frankly this first meeting is going to be mostly business with elections and making admendments to the constitution. If you want the club to be viewed as strictly gaming how many ppl do you want to bring to the first meeting were they will mostly just be sitting there listing to ppl approve *edited* and giving speeches for positions. I mean hell do we even need to vote on games lol. Watch if these games arent the ones being played

All in all I really think Daniels doing a great job considering he just picked up the presidency at the end of summer. Hes been working hard trying to get ahold of execs considering the contact info the forums is out of date.
