– I had to talk to someone to get the results for COD and Halo so Thor if you could send me a message regarding the runner ups for those tournaments, I will post them. Thanks for a great LAN everyone!
all in all it was an OK LAN but i was disappointed in the fact that we got delayed in the console tournaments due to people getting upset and leaving after they lost, thus having to take their equipment with them. I know we didn’t really expect this to happen, but i think from now on we need to expect the unexpected. Maybe try and find a way to invest in extra supplies for something like this even though that is a Lil difficult due to the funding you guys have at the gaming club. I will be helping Matt Wiard aka Waffle in his quest to find more sponsors for the club, so hopefully one day we can have these supplies for the upcoming lans.

You can never anticipate something like this but next time don’t even bother asking them to bring it in. If you can’t depend on them to stay you’re better off planning to not even have their equipment to begin with.
The club doesn’t need to be buying controllers and expensive stuff, most of that could be borrowed from more reliable, aka less childish, people.
very much true Mitch, the LANs are supposed to be fun and sportsmanship is a must. Due to the minor setbacks we didn’t get finished until 1145 with the console tournaments
We will try and have people bring more set ups, for free play purposes and as back up for tournaments. We just need to get more people to come to them…
like we were talking the other day Matt, kids want money when they compete and its kind of hard to do that at the moment
If we could id like to get a registration form put back up on the main page for lans like how it was a few years ago. With what games you plan on playing, and what equipment you can bring. Id even give a 2$ discount to those that bring a console, tv, one or both of the games going to be played on that console, and a controller. Id cover the difference in cost, and of course they would have to have their stuff there the whole time.

Contact Liam 2 weeks before the event. The system should already be in place it just has to be set up for the event and turned on.
