It sounds like you had a RAID0 stripe with those 2 Seagate Barracuda drives. You will notice a difference when going from any RAID0 stripe to pretty much any single drive setup, to maintain the speed benefit you’d need to get a REALLY fast single drive. There’s not really a whole lot that can be done.
If you have the choice of using a SATA or IDE drive as a primary OS drive, use the SATA every time. Regardless of any other stats on the drive, the SATA will be lightyears faster than any IDE drive.
This is up to Nickname but I think it’s safe to say we aren’t going to do this. Those maps aren’t made to be played in vs mode and many of the features that make it easy for the infected team to be successful are not implemented. Tbh, it makes the game extremely one sided.
If you bought the games and have CDs and CD keys you can email a picture of the CDs and keys to Steam and they’ll give you the acct back.
You do not have to pay to get an account back. Ever.

ALL of our servers are doing well and ALL are really awesome when it doesn’t lag.
Our bandwidth isn’t the problem. We have an unmetered 100Mbit connection that connects to the backbone of the university OC12 line.
I’ve said it about a dozen times but I guess I’ll have to do it once more, the problem is the CPUs on our server are getting maxed out.

Restarting the server seemed to help a lot. Today the server was running smoothly almost the entire afternoon. A minor lag spike here and there but pings didn’t shoot up to 200+The overall load on the box wasn’t that high tonight. Keep in mind, the CS16 server is restarted every morning.

I disagree. I had no reason to upgrade my CPU/mobo but after 2 years upgraded my video card. Also ram upgrades and hard drive upgrades are something even you do so yeah… stfu.Notice I said if you’re happy with what you have don’t upgrade, that doesn’t mean you have to upgrade everything.
Also, ram amount =/= ram speed. My ram upgrade wasn’t what he meant in the OP.

If you’re happy with what you’ve got, don’t upgrade. It’s stupid to upgrade mid-cycle because you’re either buying parts for a motherboard that is obsolete or buying a new motherboard and putting obsolete parts in it.
As much as you think my model makes no sense, upgrading video cards once a year is stupid. More than once, idiotic. Spend $300-500 on a card and use it for 3 years.
