On another note, does anyone else find it odd just how little reporting there was on the Tennessee flooding? I mean the Opry House was flooded, the Opryland Hotel had 10+ feet of water in it, and I-40 was closed for 50 miles and there’s barely any mention. I think the I-40 rockslide got more coverage…
All Obama does is call the governor, days after the flooding starts. Where’s the outcry that Bush got about Katrina?
Not trying to sound racist but if the primarily-black hometown of Blues gets flooded it’s a national emergency worthy of days of nonstop coverage but if the primarily-white hometown of County gets flooded it’s business as usual? What’s up with that? I don’t think Fox even sent Geraldo down there…
It’s because NPR went heavily liberal-leaning on their news reporting, lost the type of listeners who listen to that sort of thing, and thus has no funding or donations. It’s the same reason why the vast majority of liberal-leaning talk stations are either dead or dying.

Ok so I bought that and everything works great. Uses 30 watts with 1080p playback going.
Installed a pair of fans, with a 3rd going to be installed this week. Magnetic bearings are *edited* near silent and still push enough air to be useful.

He’s understandably *edited*ed. Finding someone that will let you mooch off them for an indefinate period while contributing absolutely nothing to the relationship isn’t as easy as you’d think.

Stats are the last thing we’re going to set up because it’s just easier to do it that way. Should be in the next week or so.
Feel free to change the name in the server.cfg. Do not change sys_ticrate or fps_max settings unless you’re having reg issues or just feel like the server is being too much of a beast for your players to handle. We added those in the servercfg file so head admins could have direct control over performance settings, they should be at the very top of the config file and the heading should read something like “OMGWTF DONT TOUCH THIS”
Btw, reg whiners should be banned on sight now lol
All the primary servers should be live. If there are any issues with plugins or settings, please contact the head admin for your server. If there are lag/latency/reg issues please post about them here.
I’m going to get with Adambomb and Adam37 to get the CS16 redirects going.
I’m going to get with Shingi and help him get the TF2 servers configured and ready to go.
Both gungame servers need the correct maps uploaded and mapcycles configured. Once that’s done PM me the starting map you want and I’ll start the server.
A Battlefield BC2 server has been requested. This will be top priority once everything else is live.
I’ve also gotten a request for a Killing Floor server. If anyone else has any interest I can bring in an experienced ex-TAG admin I trust to help set one up and populate it.
I can also see us having CoD4, UT3, and a Mechwarrior Living Legends server.
The *edited*ness that is recent updates strikes. CSS and CSS 24/7 D2 are now up.
EDIT: Not *edited*ing fair at all. Now the CS16 servers are behaving.
This is taking a hell of a lot longer than was planned.
Just so you guys know, since the IP was changed the CS16 is now refusing to run at anything above 60FPS (default) and CSS/TF2 won’t turn on at all. Even on the stock/unmodded servers.

They can point where ever you want. I don’t know how to install or configure them so you’ll need to do it once everything is done being moved.

Awesome. While we’re training our guys to be marines they’re training everyone on how to be field engineers and chefs.
As for the combat stuff, I seem to remember that the Japanese tried using hand to hand combat in the last war. I’m not a history major but my understanding is that it didn’t work out so well for them…
Also, everything the Chinese make like this and send over here seems to break in like a month so I’m not terribly concerned. Unless they have factories that make actual quality products and are holding out on the rest of the world, they probably used 15-30 different shovels in that video due to breakage.

My avatar tells me whether or not my website is down. My webhost decided it was time to upgrade the server I’m on. They said they were going to do it 10 months ago.
They’ve got like 30 accounts on it, each with at least 200GB of webspace, and the server has a 100GB hard drive. When you inquire as to the logic behind that they put a hold on your account, claim you’re using the space for file storage, and make you delete like half your files. When you complain on their forums about their outsourced tech support they publicly list the files that were “too big” and ask why you have them. You then get a good trolling by 30 people saying you’re either wrong about the server’s HD side, wrong about the ToS agreement, or they lol at your for trying to upload a 10GB virtual hard drive.
It’s also going to take “4-8 hours” to transfer that 100GB hard drive to another server. Personally I think they’re doing it wrong but that’s just me.
We’re switching to the new box first thing next week. Let’s try putting the stats on the same machine before weighing down Simpweb.

I’m going to have to agree with the OP on this though, if you get an ereader that’s based on a book purchase system you never REALLY own any of the books you buy.
It’s almost like buying Bioshock, you own it until the developer has determined that you’ve installed it too many times then you have to buy another copy.
That’s just the thing, Islam does not forbid the depiction of Muhammad. Only the more zealous sects have problems and some sects have openly depicted him in art and architecture for over a thousand years.

There’s also a depiction of Muhammad in the US Supreme Court building, in it he’s seen carrying a sword and the Quran. Where’s the outcry here?
A group of Muslims started a petition for Wikipedia to take down their pictures in the Muhammad article. Wiki told them to *edited* off and guess what happened? Nothing. The whole protest movement died. Know why? Because Wiki demonstrated they have backbone and the balls to stand for what they believe in. I wish more companies and people in the US would do the same…
Answer me this. If the original reason for barring depictions of Muhammad was to prevent idolatry, why does it matter to them when a depiction is published to an audience that is almost entirely non-Muslim. It shouldn’t matter because we can’t be idolaters to a religious figure we don’t believe in. If anything, the interest in the Muhammad depiction could potentially bring people into the religion. There’s irony for you…

In fact if I remember right the only real thing Mohammad said was something about peace and getting along with other religions, which is what their holy book states they should do. I really don’t see the issue here.

Why is it that liberals can’t stand having to prove you’re a legal citizen/resident? What is it about the federal immigration laws that you hate so much and if you dislike it that much why don’t you simply remove them? I’ve never seen a Mexican trucker and I’ve traveled I85 and I40 a great deal over the last few years. I would say it affects border states more than other states but NC has one of the highest population of illegal immigrants in the US, in fact HALF our latinos are illegal. If there are none or few here, I seriously doubt a strike would be an issue anywhere, especially with so many truckers in the US begging for long-haul freight jobs.
Hey there’s an idea. *edited* the illegals off so they go on strike, meanwhile the Americans who do the same job, contrary to typical liberal talking points, willingly and gratefully retake the work that illegals stole from them.
