At this point I don’t really care. If Reslife won’t let us put fliers right beside the greek adverts and SGA election fliers then why do we bother advertising at all? We’re handicapped from the get go.

On a side note I think the LAN was well advertisedReynolds had 2 fliers in it and both were on the 2nd floor. Nothing at any of the entrances or anywhere in the halls with the exception of the 2 announcement boards on the 2nd floor. Later in the week some of the smaller ones started appearing all over the *edited* place but they were really about a week too late. We need to really ramp up the adverting for the next LAN, going above and beyond what ResLife approves of. Definately let them “put the fliers up” but also make a few batches of our own and plaster the dorms with them like we did the classrooms and faculty buildings.

Besides, you know there’s going to be gas somewhere in the time it takes to travel between there and here. Hell, as many truck stops as there are along the way you’d probably be better off filling up halfway here anyway.

So could the club get someone to sponsor us to go, as in gas cards or something. I think if we could get gas covered we’d be able to get a monster team there. Maybe have Dell sponsor a “college rival battle” or something as Dell is a big sponsor for their club.
Last time we got 2 teams of 5 PC players and absolutely rocked them at TF2. I’d be really cool if we could do that again.

Next time the PC CLs need to come up with their own schedule for games instead of trying to match them up with the console tournaments. I don’t think overlap is really an issue anymore and if it is it’s no worse than trying to be in 2 console tournaments schedule at the same time.
As far as the tournaments actually going, I think the UT4 and CoD4 tournaments went fine but the TF2 needed about 2.5-3 hours and the CSS needed about 2 hours, instead they both got like 1.
The next LAN needs a seperate signup page for PC players to request an “install” of games so we know in advance how many will need the games installed. We also need a hard cutoff at the LAN as to when they need to have it installed by because half our time problems were install related and it’s really frustrating having to wait an hour after start time because people got there 15 minutes before start time and didn’t have the game installed.
People were driving from all over the *edited* place for Mountain Heritage day. I don’t think gas was a big issue.

Your level really doesn’t even matter once you hit the mid-teens but it’ll be good for the newer/less experienced players to have access to the upper level perks for the tournament. I’m definately looking forward to the higher challenge as once you got the “rape gun” in old school it was pretty much over.
And by “rape gun” I mean the M60+scope I got like 12 kills in a row with. It was in the pool btw for those who didn’t ask me at the LAN.

The mod doesn’t really matter although it would be nice if my weapon usage actually counted for something like it did with old school. I had the scorpion kills maxed out after the last LAN lol
I think the way we did it last time was great and can easily be adapted to work with PAM4. Teamdeathmatch and carry over the top 6-8.
How many rounds are we going because we should have enough time to do 2 elimination rounds and a final.
