ASU is holding a LAN over our fall break. Games to be played are:
PC LAN tournaments
Team Fortress 2 (Team size: minimum 5, maximum 7)
Starcraft
PC LAN free play
Quake III
OpenArena (this is a Free game available for Win/Lin/Mac)
Warcraft III (RTS and DoTA)
Whatever else
Console Tournaments
Halo 3 (Team size: 4, Bring your 360 controller)
Super Smash Brothers Brawl (Bring your own controller)
Soul Calibur IV (Standard controllers will be provided, but bringing your own is encouraged)
Mario Kart Wii
Pokemon (Nintendo DS) (Bring your DS and game)
NES Tournament (Team size: 2, NES controllers will be provided)
Contra
Battletoads
Nintendo Tetris
TECMO Super Bowl
Duck Hunt
Console and Cards Free Play
Rock Band 2 (Instruments will be provided)
Bomberman 93
Mario Kart DS
Tetris DS
Jump Ultimate Stars (DS)
Last time we got 2 teams of 5 PC players and absolutely rocked them at TF2. I’d be really cool if we could do that again.
As much as I would love to go up there and own them at tf2 (again), I really can’t justify driving up there for just one game.
If I had the money Id go for SC IV but Im broke. by the way, which system is SC IV being played on over there?

So could the club get someone to sponsor us to go, as in gas cards or something. I think if we could get gas covered we’d be able to get a monster team there. Maybe have Dell sponsor a “college rival battle” or something as Dell is a big sponsor for their club.

Thats a great idea. Im personally going to it for Halo 3. I am currently 4-0 there for halo tournies soo i’ll make it a win for Western again this time. I know some smash players came up to the last one soo i know there would be alot of ppl interested. Maybe alot of us could go together or something to make it even cheaper. For me though i will be teaming with App kids since the guy i always play with goes there(Bever/Akuzan).
I’d go if, 1: i had a car or 2: i didnt have a whole lot of stuff to do over fall break, sounds like fun though.
I’ll go if I can get masterp, chupa, nickname, nodice, raine, and nukedude. Or any of the other good tf2 players that I didn’t mention.
Is it really that bad? lol. Maybe I’ll not go.
also, since Citi bank just acquired wachovia… should we merge everything and call it, as a guy in another forum said, “Uniciticovawa First Union of America?”
Meh. Our console tournaments would probably dwarf there’s for sure if we had more equipment. Oh well.. any tF LAN teams we get are more likely to set foot over in Charlotte and the other slightly more urban areas across the state. Assuming gas still isn’t an issue by that point.
