yeah i think i successfully removed that map… was my roommate ben so i noclipped to him and killed him so he would respawn on the map since he had no problem with just staying there looking up at everyone lol – plus it was the only use of noclip i’ve been able to somewhat justify other than testing the mod tee hee

yeah i been reading and talking to other people with the same issue on the forums and it has something to do with either es tool or event scripts (which is necessary to run gun game but es tools is not)

 

it’s something that has come up with the new sourcemod.. so hopefully it’s just es tools and not event scripts. I removed es tools but now something is wrong with the stats database… i tried a partial reset of stats and ever since it’s been *edited*ing up.. then i went on their forums and found this which was conveniently posted like yesterday as a fix for it… but I have no one to go in and replace it now / haven’t had time to flag anyone down

if someone with acccess to the webserver could replace that file for me and fix teh database it would be most excellent

we can but I don’t want to yet.. i noticed that some of the other peeps use es tools with their gun game mod instead of gungame utils to respawn a player.. that might hav something to do with it.. even though gun game is not loaded the es tools were…

 

i took es tools off and now i can’t get the stats to run at all.. don’t think it was a problem on my end but the service does not seem to work.. it’s really intermittent on the source server too.. so i think it’s somehting else right now

crap i was talking to some people on that hlxcommunity.com forums about my double kill loggin issues and they were saying they have sourcemod 1.2 and it’s double logging their kills as well.. this sucks

honestly i think the best thing that could happen to pc gaming was if someone mass manufactured a pc as a type of console where it was super fast and it had it’s own games (that you could play on any pc with similar settings) but the price would be lower cus a lot of people would buy the same thing

 

 

this was kinda done with alienware but i’m talking about 1 system … i guess this might sound stupid but it would def get people more interested in pc games and make higher end pc more affordable

not to rag on organization but the failure to install ahead of time was a problem in both cod4 and l4d….

 

 

mebbe we could have done a better job of setting people up with games they don’t have at an earlier time and I think from now on we should test each game server on the pc section the night before the lan just so we don’t run into any issues like we did with css.. and I understand it was working last time it ran but apparently after this example things just magically get messed up..

 

 

so yah this is just a few suggestions

 

+ also people were packing up and leaving by the time cod4 rolled around anyway.. so i don’t think you can put that number as the game did that

ugg some of that is confusing… I read up on it for a while and it requires some sort of twilight hack.. u must have the game zelda: twilight princess, which I do, but it seems to be dependent on what version you have updated to

 

and I always update mine.. so i dunno wuts going on

 

 

mebbe i’ll try it when i can see it gets more stable but I like how they at least had at one time a dvd player on the wii that nintendo decides to break.. i dunno it seems like they could be using their time to make games better rather than screw up peoples hobbies

 

at least the dvd player doesn’t really break any laws.. (as far as I know) the emulation thing is against the law if you don’t own the game

nah ballz actually played really well at the lan… i lucked out to get to the finals myself

 

bitey was in the lead on my team on inferno and we were t. I needed 4 points to win and it was the last round. There were only 3 people on the other team so i needed a bomb explosion. I planted at b and then awped the last guy and the round ended. All I could hear is Raine saying “you idiot!” lol but then the bomb blew up and i ended up moving on because i got the 4 points in the round and I had one less death than bitey. It was pretty insane.

there are currently bonus points if you win the round, level up, steal a level with knife

 

you lose points if you lose a level

 

 

current point modifiers:

win a game: +15 points

gain a level: +1 point

steal a level: +2 points

lose a level: -1 point

 

 

the log problem is something I will have to work on Friday when I get back I haven’t been able to get on the server to work on it this week of my spring break, but it will be fixed soon. The point modifiers are somewhat up for discussion, but we really need to get the logs working first.
