ballz plays in a band now and hasn’t touched source for some time.. even though he now will have fast internets again.. mebbe he will get back on it but I can’t say for sure.. I have not had fast internet for some time now.. I”m currently looking for a job and that will determine whether or not i can get new internetz because I will have to move… I can’t even get dsl out where I live.

I’m finally done.. ps. it was good to play on the sauce server with Rainey, Major, and Warwager the other day. I actually had decent internet for about an hour.. managed being able to play until mah gf got there from GA.
Anyway the servers are dead hopefully they’ll pick up in the next couple of weeks.. I’m still looking for a job.. it’s not too promising right now. Send any leads my way

Ah!… Raine I miss you too especially .. and everyone else too. I’m currently seeking employment and awaiting graduation from Clemson University with little to slow internet. I’m actually in Georgia right now at my girlfriend’s new house.. We just got back from a week at Myrtle Beach and I think I’m gonna visit my friends at Clemson tomorrow. I haven’t been around in a while.. I’m back home finally done with school.. when I left a couple weeks ago no one was very active. If you’d be willing to host a gg fun night I might still be able to give you some powerz to change the map. I would like to get some activity on the server even though I can’t be around.

After a REALLY LONG TIME of messing with this stuff I have successfully been able to make backups to my portable 320GB WD Passport Essential drive and run games from it USING SYSTEM MENU 4.0!!!!!!
I have my hard drive partitioned into 1 FAT32 partition and 1 WBFS partition so I can still use it for a portable hard drive.. I have about 70 GB allocated for the backups. The backups actually take up less space than an ISO would so .. that’s cool.
I also have a channel setup for it so I can load it.. I have bootmii on there to load up the system menu from which I can access the USB Loader and the homebrew channel..
HA NINTENDO… I WIN.. SUCK IT

Yeah the steps they give for the 4.0 install include downgrading to cIOS36. Like I said, the scariest thing I’ve ever done to a console was downgrade my Wii. If you’re going to do it I HIGHLY recommend doing it a different way than they said. When I get back Saturday night I can send you the program I used. It basically strips the Wii back down to the factory pre-release OS then incrementally upgrades it to the version you select.Also, as promised here is my config file for the autoboot. hmmm yeah i actually did it the way they suggested 3 times… of course I’m not sure that any of those 3 times actually worked because I don’t think the wii is recognizing my drive.. .It was really funny because the most recent thing I did caused the usb loader to recognize the sd card.. .so I accidentally formatted my usb card while it was running the usb loader from the card.. you can guess how that turned out. I backed up everything on my laptop so I was able to recover but I felt like a dumbass for a long time.
I’ll try out that config today thx for that.

w00t.. I did it and it’s working really well… I already backed up my system so if i *edited* it up I can fix it!!!…
also how do you get bootmii to load the homebrew channel on startup?
I didn’t see any config file that would do it but i am noob..

Team Twiizers have finally release BootMii, the boot-level hack that allows homebrew applications to have direct and immediate control of the Wii before the Nintendo OS even starts loading. With this software mod installed, the Wii is virtually unbrickable.When this hack was originally announced, Nintendo made changes to the Wii’s hardware to prevent it and as a result any Wii newer than late 2008 will have to use a watered down OS hack that doesn’t really give any benefit right now. If you’re in this category they really don’t recommend installing this right now.
The installer scans your Wii and determines what IOS version you have as well as which exploits it is still vulnerable to and uses the one(s) that are least invasive and destructive. It’s surprisingly well thought out.
As a heads up, it does require the Homebrew channel. You can also execute the installer using the Twilight Princess hack. If you have System Menu 4.0 (the current version) you can use Banner Bomb to run the installer. Regardless of the launch method, the HackMii installer lets you install the BootMii hack, the Homebrew Channel, and DVDx (unlocks DVD movie functionality).

… j/k but on a more serious note I actually played a bit tonight and was confused that the 1.6 server appears to be running two different ranking systems at the same time… wtf is up with that?

Yeah that one was no better than what we have now. Only thing that made it so special was that people liked to exploit it by killing people after they were team-swapped. That’s really more of a glitch than a benefit.

you know I would agree with this if i knew anyone who mimmic’d steam and got away with it anymore
ps. i used to run cracked version of css when it first came out.. could run on all steam public games but got tired of downloading updates for it
ALSO though… 16 GB is TINY if you have to download all your games.. .it sounds like they’re trying to compete with ipod touch in the game market (yeah I know … what market)
