What do i love in gaming? Console wise, i’m a computer player, always have been, always will be. Even though every time i get a pc, its always behind what i need it to be at.
Games wise i play mostly Warhammer 40k Dawn of war. Not much of a console player, but i used to be into PS1 and 2 as well as X-box 360.
But here is my question to YOU gaming club. I am looking for a place for D&D and Warhammer 40k. Can anyone tell me if someone plays that here?

given that I have only seen myself and split in there, and with lemm’s interest I would say only 3 reserved slots are needed.

Yeah I thought that was a bit unprofessional. You can be arrested for arguing with a judge in the courtroom (contempt of court) but it appears they can say whatever they want to you regardless of its relevance to the case.

can we get some reserved slots in the idle server… it’s always full and peeps are on there for 10hr+
I dunno how everyone would feel about it but I wouldn’t mind connecting every once in a while.

The prosecutor seems especially cruel in her comments about the case. It almost seems like a personal vendetta against the guy.
Maybe she didn’t get a part in one of his movies… or her husband left her because she kept talking every time Die Hard came on.

I ran the update command
The server process showed as running
The server could not be found.. (Now that I think about it, I probably messed this up some way.. I think I tried to upload the maps while it was updating)
Server was showing incorrect version.. so I used the updater to update it…
Now every time it starts it hangs… there is a chance it is trying to update while it’s hanging but it was hanging for a while. I dunno.. anyway I got here at 4.. it’s now 6:30 and I haven’t been able to test out any custom maps…

PS. Liam if you could look at the CSS server, I’d greatly appreciate it.. I dont know what’s going on.
I in no means meant to say what they did what right. In fact, I agree it was horrible, but I don’t think they should be charged or blamed for causing him to commit suicide.

After reading more about this, I don’t know that they should get 5 years in prison, but I can see a year.
If you kill yourself, you’re quitting life. I have no sympathy for him. Everyone has problems and we can’t blame others for what this kid did. I agree with Kip in saying the only thing they should be charged with is violating his privacy. Saying that, I can see the family getting money in a civil suit.. but I doubt much.. after all they are college kids and probably don’t have deep pockets.

With the new Wiis, just be aware that you can’t downgrade below 4.2U or install the firmware version of Bootmii. The DVD drives won’t read backups either. Other than that it should be about the same if you go the USB route.
With 4.3U you’ll have to use Indian Pwns or Smash Stack to install HBC/Bootmii.
Also worth noting, the new HBC has USB2 and DVDX support directly integrated so any application launched from it will natively get that support. This is especially useful for loading games from a USB drive as you won’t have to always worry about getting the updated version after you update your Wii.
hmm.. I thought DVDX didn’t work on the new Wiis because of a hardware fix restriction..
Anyway, I’ll have to work on this when I can get a better internet connection (my gf’s apartment). Luckily the Wii I bought her came with SSBB (used Wii from THE INTERNET).
Anyone modded a 4.3U Wii?
I got a new black Wii for my gf’s b-day. I found some links but it’s really hard to do offline because I have to find all the files beforehand. I know it’s possible as long as you don’t have 4.3K (or so I’ve read).

Yes, it uses the ball as a 3D sensor if you will….Since the ball stays a constant size it’s easily and consistently able give a dept reading. When you incorporate this dept perception with the 3 axis accelerometer and gyroscope (six-axis) within the remote you get acceleration and orientation readings in that 3d space which is why they use a ball at the end. The different colors are programed by the developers to distinguish player 1 and 2 etc. and different statuses within a particular game. (if your using fire it may turn red)….When you use it in a FPS it feels like using a mouse. I use it in the MAG 2.0 beta and got awesome results. I actually feel like I have the advantage, because of how responsive and steady the aim is and how quickly i can move the cross-hare and steady the aim on each persons head. I also like how it interrupts an activity your doing by stabbing at the screen to knife another player. The move was done right.
First console I really want in a long time… plus fast internetz… sad lemm 🙁
Ah, I haven’t messed with Juggernaut in a while and frankly I’m afraid. Let me get the custom maps on there first…

hmm question, if I made a mouse+keyboard type controller by changing the xbox remotepads expanded and shaped like keys and the joystick the mouse, would I be able to use it in console tournaments? @masterp, microsoft planned on combining the two however due to casual gamers and the exspense of loosing money caused the suggestion to be turned.
Raven told me he used some sort of hardware converter to hook up a mouse and keyboard to play MW2 on XBOX and got suspended for a month or so.. So I doubt the answer would be yes.

Btw, shooters using this will suck. Ask any Wii owner.
House of the Dead: Overkill is the best shooter for Wii IMO. It plays very well. It helps to have vibration feedback when you’re aiming at something. I think the only reason I like it so much is that the game controls most of your motion, so you can concentrate a lot more on aiming.
With the Wii, you should calibrate the aim before you play on a regular basis.. it’s a pain in the *edited*, but I have no problem getting consistent head shots.

It’s really cool.. My girlfriend’s parents just got it.. (they got the ps3 for the blueray player/ netflix / mlb.com stream and the move for their kids/ grandkids). I helped them set it up. I played the game that came with it (Championship Sports) and it was really awesome. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure it uses the camera to find the glowing ball.. unlike the Wii which uses two LEDs. When you are setting up before a game, the system shows you on the screen and a white box outline that you are supposed to stand in.. and then calibrates by having the remote held up, at your side, and at your belt buckle.
I was skeptical, but I had a lot of fun with it… only problem I noticed was that it recommended you stand at least 8 ft away from the screen.. WTF?
PS. I want one.. and a big screen tv..
