Tell you what… I’ll only turn it off in the near future to put more RAM into it. Is another 4 gigs enough? (it better be becasue it will max the server out at 16gigs)
I wish we could upgrade computers without taking them down. Downtime is evil! Its nobody fault, but wouldn’t it be cool to have a box you could add ram safely without having any .. Shock theory
Yea that would be nice, open up a box, disable a ram bay, install it, and enable it again… that would be the shizzle.
Just a dream for now though, becasue I’m sure no one wants me to try to electricute myself trying to install ram on the server. (ok, im sure someone probably wants me to electrocute myself, but they probably don’t want me to take the server down with me)
They Make hot-swappable Hard Drives, why can’t they make hot-swappable ram?

you wouldn’t electricute yourself:) RAM installation is easy.
Than again I build PC’s for a living. You just gotta remember, there only one place anything will fit.
Random fact #1338: Unless theres a short in your case lighting lol. That actually hurts when you touch it while your case is on.
