. I’m not a huge PvP person, I’ve been grinding honor for the past week or so when I have had time for the bracers/belt/etc. Other than that, I’m a PvE carebear that loves downing bosses.
Yeah, the herbs I’ve been gathering in outland I have been sending to my warrior since she is Alchemy. Need to get her to 50 (48 now) so I can get to 375 Alchemy and use some of the like, 300 Felweed I have >_<.
Aw man, I hate leveling. I like raiding and especially learning an instance from the ground up. We had to do that with MC. But doing the whole grind to get to that level… I find it so boring unless I have someone to do it with. I only have one high level and it took me so long to get him to 60, because I PvP’d so much. Now it’s gonna take me a long time to get him to 70 because I PvP on my 48. Needless to say, I was kind’ve disappointed when they announced the new xpac and the new grind to 80. After awhile, they level cap is gonna be so high, I’ll probably just give up.
Oh, and the pots you can use at 300+ are so nice. Especially as a mage, I like the +24 dmg and +30 to intellect/spirit combo. They’re insanely easy to make and I get more mats than I can use, so woop, there they go on the AH.
Yea, the bags and some of the lower level blues sell, dreamweave for example. I still think a gathering professions are more profitable though. Like today, I farmed in tanaris for about an hour and half and I made 25g off of the iron and solid stones sales alone. Still have 4 stacks of Mithril Bars waiting to be sold at 13g a peice. But really, you can make gold off of anything, save for engineering. Can even play the AH.
Before I quit (right as BC came out) I bought a bunch of black lotuses very cheaply from some farmers, 12g/4. Was really planning on using them for flasks and such, but now they’re selling for 25g pop. But yea, off topic.
My undead priest is currently skinner/miner, but when if I ever level him past 49, I’ll be dropping skinning for engineering. I’m kinda excited
Btw: I wish you guys were horde on alterac. Being undead with will of the forsaken is pretty much the best thing for pvp. Plus, the undead shadow priest with the undead epic mount = the coolest looking character ever.NoDice said:

Yea, when I first started, I picked tailoring and enchanting as well, but I was poor as poor can be. The thing about tailoring is that all the good items, the epics, you can really only make them for yourself, so its kinda hard to make a profit. So what a lot of ppl do is wait until they get the patterns to the armor they want and then take up tailoring (usually dropping a gathering profession becasue they’re the easiest to level up, and profitable in the process). Really, besides that… everything other than the epic items you can make (which are BoP), you can buy the stuff pretty cheaply from the AH.
Enchanting is good mucho later in the levels and you’ll make a good asset to whatever guild you’re in. Though, again, good to start later on after you reached a decent level with money in your pocket.
As for the gnome, yea that engineering goes to waste, but you do get a 5% increase to mana. And even though you may not be into PvP, Alterac is a PvP server
But really, what’s important is what you’re happiest with. And, haha, yea, I’ll be moving into Kellum Hall… which is at FSU
So sorry I won’t be able to help you out there.so annoying though, when you’re that guy who rushes when no one else does, or maybe only 1 or 2 other ppl do. So you get your *edited* handed to you while everyone else decided to stop because they heard gun shots.

But, I thought I’d give your way a shot anyways, but I don’t know how to configure router settings. Never had to before. Once my roomate is out, I’ll hook my comp direction up to the cable modem just to make sure it’s not the router.

The only thing human mages really got going for them is perception, but that can easily be done without.As for the professions, I’d start out with skinning+ mining/herbalism just to bank some dough, and then drop skinning for a craft. I really like herbalism and alch, because now that some of the elixers now stack with spells, they really help out.
You should let me know when you start this guy out. I just rolled a draenei shaman on Alterac and it’d be nice to level up with someone.
Had a pretty good one today, at least to me. It’s 2v3, but I have no idea what my other team mate was doing, I think he was afk in spawn or camping at who knows where. I go and pick up the bomb, then go to B and plant. I knew the 3 CT’s were at A, so I go to camp in the house connecting B and A. I see two run past the door, but hear the 3rd coming through the house. Take him out with the AK (seemed like it took forever to kill him) as he runs by, immediately switch to deagle as I head outside. Headshot the 2nd guy as he comes around the corner and proceed to take out the 3rd while he’s defusing.
Really no great feat of skill, but I still felt good afterwards. Probably a testimony to my nubness that I’d post about it ^^
PS: Comcast sucks the major donkey balls. I keep getting disconnected like every 5-10 minutes for a split second, which causes my screen to go into remix style when playing CS. I can’t move and I see the same thing happen 3-4 times over. So freakin annoying.
Haha, yea, I tried to hint at it with the “NUB” part ^^, but then right after I sent the message I got disconnected and when I logged back on, you logged off. Meh, oh well.

bad idea…. remember one of the reasons its being put in is because admins wouldnt balance teams.no offense to the admins, but leave it in completely. its easier to live with a couple rounds of unbalance and then the LTB doing its job again then a whole bunch of maps rolling around unbalanced until an admin thats willing to switch teams up a bit rolls in.
plus, if no admin is there it wouldnt be on at all and it would be back to the 23-1 aztecs and 20-2 assaults
I thought it was put in because the admins just weren’t doing that great of a job with the balancing (when they were trying to balance). I would think it would be pretty hard to ignore half the server complaining about unbalanced teams. Plus, could just leave it on when no admins are present. Maybe just give admins the option to turn it off if they deem necessary.
But if that is the case then maybe an alternative way would be to have it wait longer before balancing the teams. For instance, the teams can be balanced but one side could still win 3 times in a row. Perhaps wait for a difference of 5 or 6 in the scores. The exception being if one side starts with 3 wins and over 70% of the kills, then it would go ahead and kick in. That may be a bit complicated though.
It’s late, so I’m rambling… would the balancer be able to work differently for different maps? With maps like aztec/dust/assault where one side has the map advantage, it seems like the best way to balance the teams would be to give the other side a slight kill advantage.
It would be awesome if the balancer could link up with the HL stats so it would know to equally disperse people in the top10 or something like that. Again, forgive for the rambling.
ya know, sometimes it tries to balance teams when they don’t even need to be balanced, which tends to unbalance them. is there any way around that? Like maybe instead of having it work on its own, have it as a command for admins when they deem it necessary? it seems like there’s an admin in the server most of the time and when there isn’t, can either let it run or leave it up to the teams to balance it out. idunno, just throwing that out.
Might not be impressive to anyone else, but during deagle I came upon 3 CT’s popped around a corner as I was running toward their spawn. 1, 2, 3 headshots. It was awesome.
More recently, due to the team balancer making a game like… 7v13 in favor of the CT’s. T’s camped, ended up losing half of our group, but took out half of the CT’s as well. Ended up planting and even though we all died, kept CT’s off the bomb long enough for it to explode.
Well, one thing I heard when I was playing earlier was that there was this one guy who was doing awesome, kdr wise, but was on a team that losing horribly, round after round. But because of his insane score, got swapped to the winning team, leaving the losing team even worse off. Idunno, something to think aboot.
Well… A lot of the time it makes the teams like… 7vs 13 if not worse. So yea, sure, switch people around, just make sure the teams have an even number of players as well.
Well, I checked on youtube, it wasn’t there. And Source-Radio.net is not a bad place to register at. It has tons of movies for 1.6, Source, Quake 3, and others under its “MovieVault”. Plus, it has “OnDemand” which has quite a bit of matches. Watched the Hyper vs 3D one the other day (even though its old), and that was quite a come back.
Anyways, if for no other reason, I think this movie is worth the registration alone. It’s exclusive to Source-Radio.

I’ve had no problems with McAfee. Has protected me thus far, as far as I know at least, and I’ve had this computer going on 4 years now.
